残線量を比較的容易に目視で確認することが出来るが、
正確な巻き量を目視で確認することが出来ないだけでな
く、強度も弱い。また、バージンのポリスチレンを10
0%使用すると、従来のボビンよりも更に強度が低下し
てしまうのでボビンの再利用が出来ず、高価になってし
まうという欠点があった。 この欠点を補うために、
バージンのポリスチレンにゴム等を添加し、強度を高め
た製品がある。この製品は、強度が強く、かつ、再利用
しても強度低下が少ないため、再利用が可能という特徴
を有している。しかしながら、ゴム等を添加しているた
めに透明にはならないので、残線量を目視で確認しにく
いという欠点があった。

電加工機用ワイヤの残線量を目視で簡単に確認すること
が出来るようにボビンの内側に目盛りによる識別手段
(印刷・刻印・ラベル等)を設けたワイヤカット放電加
工機用ワイヤボビンである。 本発明の識別手段の
具体的方法としては、下記の方法が挙げられる。 1.
ボビンの残線量を目視で簡単に確認することが出来るよ
うにボビンの内側に目盛りを印刷する。 2.ボビンの
残線量を目視で簡単に確認することが出来るようにボビ
ンの内側に目盛りを刻印する。 3.ボビンの残線量を
目視で簡単に確認することが出来るようにボビンの内側
にラベル等を貼る。 次に、図2は、本発明のワイヤ
カット放電加工機用ワイヤボビンの断面説明図であ
る。 図2から明らかなように、巻き量の目盛りは等
間隔にはならないので、巻き高さの理論計算を以下に述
べる。
