Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductor supporting insulator capable of simply supporting various kinds of conductors in a switch gear without using a special fixing member such as a post and to provide a conductor supporting method using it. SOLUTION: Main circuit conductors 2 in a switch gear is supported by inserting them into holes 1a in a conductor supporting insulator 1. No filler metal or no fixing member such as a bolt is required for the conductor supporting insulator 1. When the main circuit conductors 2 each are an insulated conductor, all parts except a conductor connection part are insulated, so that no bare live part is present and a spatial insulation distance is reduced.

[0007] In each of the conventional examples 1 and 2, the conductor supporting insulator 1 is used.
It is necessary to provide fillings 12 and 22 in 1, 21 not only increases the cost but also the main circuit conductor 1 which is an insulating conductor.
When supporting the metallization 5, 26, there is a problem that the fillings 12, 22 have an intermediate potential, leading to dielectric breakdown of the insulator, and the insulation performance cannot be maintained. In order to cope with this problem, the insulation is eliminated only at the fixed portion and the potential is set to the same as that of the bare charging portion.

Next, a procedure for supporting the main circuit conductor 2 will be described. First, the conductor supporting insulator 1 is fixed to the supporting frame 3 by the fixing bolt 4 via the screw fixing portion 1c of the conductor supporting insulator 1 (see FIGS. 3 and 5).
