番組内容情報蓄積手段５は、受信した番組に関する情報を番組内容情報として番組内容情報保持メモリ９に保持させる。この番組内容情報の更新時期は特に限定されるものではなく、実施されるフォーマットに応じて数百ミリ秒から数時間毎まで、任意の時間を選択することが出来る。
