Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material which is used for the loop members of hook-and- loop fasteners, scarcely generates fuzzes, wrinkles and the like, has an excellent repeated engagement strength and excellent flexibility, and is useful for living materials and the like, by forming loops on the surface of a filament non-woven fabric, imparting an adhesive and then fixing the loops under specific conditions. SOLUTION: This material for the loop members of hook-and-loop fasteners is obtained by applying a needle-punching treatment to a filament non-woven fabric (METSUKE: preferably 30-300 g/m2) comprising polyethylene terephthalate filaments to form loops in a density of 10-100 loops/cm2 on at least one surface of the nonwoven fabric, imparting an adhesive to the nonwoven fabric, and then melting and compacting the non-woven fabric by a ultrasonic wave means, a heat-pressing means or the like to fix the loops. In the obtained materials for the loop members of the hook-and-loop fasteners, the area rate of the discontinuous melted and melt-compacted portions is 2-30%.

In recent years, in particular, nonwoven fabrics have been used as female materials. 0.2 to depth on the surface of long fiber non-woven fabric
An example is provided in which 2 to 40 3 mm wrinkles are provided per 1 cm (JP-A-6-33359). However, since the surface fastener female member is merely a grooved surface of the long fiber, the engagement strength, the durability, and the pull-out resistance are small. In the field of disposables, there are also those using short-fiber nonwoven fabrics, but the strength of the loop and the pull-out resistance are weak, making them unsuitable for repeated use. In order to improve these drawbacks, there have been devised such as thickening the fiber, hardening with an adhesive or low-melting fiber, but any of them has a hard texture and the usable applications are limited. Problem. In addition, the basis weight 10
It is introduced that a nonwoven fabric obtained by laminating a cellulosic short-fiber nonwoven fabric on a spunbonded nonwoven fabric of ~ 25 g / m 2 so that the filament of the spunbonded nonwoven fabric is engaged with a hook of a fabric is used as a female material of a surface fastener. (Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 4-56008). However, even with this nonwoven fabric, the basis weight of the spunbonded nonwoven fabric is at most 25 g / m 2.
Therefore, there is a problem in that the engagement strength is low and the loop is loosened when used repeatedly, and the durability is poor. Furthermore, it is introduced that a non-woven fabric in which a continuous seal portion is formed on a web mainly composed of a heat-fusible conjugate fiber and one surface of which is densified by heat-sealing is used as a female material of a surface fastener (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 9-1997). 317). However, in this case, although the repeated engagement strength is maintained, since the seal portion is continuous, irregular wrinkles and the like are generated, the quality is deteriorated, and mechanical properties such as tensile strength and tear strength are obtained. There was also a problem such as a decrease.

A loop formed by a needle punch is formed on at least one surface of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric, and this loop is engaged with a hook which is a male material as a female material. The loop is firmly fixed to the base of the female material of the surface fastener. It must be. For that purpose, it is necessary to melt-densify at least a part of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric in a discontinuous pattern, and the area ratio (melt-densified area / melt-densified area / The total area of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric) × 100 (%) is 2 to 30%, and the area ratio is preferably 5 to 25%.

If the melt densification by the discontinuous pattern is too large or too small with respect to the long-fiber nonwoven fabric, the intended result cannot be obtained. When the area ratio of the melt densification is less than 2%, the fibers of the long fiber non-woven fabric, which is the female member of the surface fastener, adhere to the surface of the male member of the fastener when peeled off after being engaged with the male member of the surface fastener. Since the surface of the nonwoven fabric is fluffed and the strength is reduced, the engagement strength is sharply reduced, and the nonwoven fabric cannot be used repeatedly. On the other hand, if it exceeds 30%, the loop of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric, which is the female material of the hook-and-loop fastener, is strongly fixed while lying down, and the surface of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric becomes hard, so that the male material of the hook-and-loop fastener hardly penetrates the female material of the hook-and-loop fastener. , The engagement strength is significantly reduced. Further, if the pattern of the melt densification is made continuous, a difference in shrinkage between the melt-densified portion and the portion not melt-densified at the time of melt densification occurs, which causes irregular wrinkles and the like. As the quality decreases and the melt densification pattern becomes continuous, mechanical properties such as tensile strength and tear strength also decrease.

When a long-fiber non-woven fabric is used, unlike a short-fiber non-woven fabric, the long-fiber non-woven fabric is composed of filaments. Therefore, the long-fiber non-woven fabric has excellent tensile strength and tearing strength, and the engaging force is improved as a hook-and-loop fastener female material.

The basis weight of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric in the present invention is 30.
~300g / m 2 is preferred. If it is less than 30 g / m 2, the amount of fibers tends to decrease, and the engagement strength tends to decrease. Also,

The filament thickness of the synthetic fibers constituting the long-fiber nonwoven fabric in the present invention is preferably in the range of 1 to 20 denier. When the denier is less than 1 denier, the strength of the single yarn is insufficient, and the strength of the loop is apt to be reduced. On the other hand, if it exceeds 20 denier, the fibers are less likely to be entangled during needle punching, the strength of the entire nonwoven fabric cannot be sufficiently obtained, the number of loops is reduced, and the engagement strength tends to decrease. In addition, a tingling sensation at the time of wearing is enhanced, and the use is limited.

The loop is present on one or both sides of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric and forms a loop surface. The loop is formed by resin processing with an adhesive, and the loop is fixed in a standing state, thereby preventing the loop from coming off. The adhesive is preferably applied in an amount of less than 25% by weight, more preferably in the range of 1 to 20% by weight, based on the weight of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric. When the content exceeds 25% by weight, the loop is strongly fixed while lying down, and the surface of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric becomes hard, so that the male member of the hook-and-loop fastener hardly penetrates the female member of the mating fastener and the engagement strength tends to decrease. The conditions of the needle punching are suitably in the range of needle counts 30 to 42 for the felting needles. If the needle count exceeds 43, the needles are likely to break during processing, which lowers productivity, and the possibility that broken needles are mixed into the long-fiber nonwoven fabric increases, which is not preferable from the viewpoint of safety. Needle count is 3
If it is less than 0, friction with the fiber during processing increases,
As a result, the fibers are easily cut, and the tensile strength of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric tends to decrease. Needle punching is performed on one side or both sides as necessary to form a loop.

Examples, Comparative Examples, Conventional Examples After melt-spinning polyethylene terephthalate having a melt viscosity of 0.65, it is drawn and thinned by air soccer to form filaments, which are randomly deposited and collected on a net conveyor. Then, the filament was lightly pressed with an embossing roll to obtain a long-fiber nonwoven fabric composed of filaments having a thickness of 3.5 denier. Next, the obtained long-fiber nonwoven fabric was needle-punched from one side with various felting needles to form a loop on the other side. After that, an emulsion of polyester acid was applied and dried, and the obtained long-fiber nonwoven fabric was attached to various engraving rolls.
Ultrasonic fusion processing was performed under the condition of 0μ. In Example 13, discontinuous melt densification was performed by thermocompression bonding (temperature: 210 ° C., linear pressure: 40 kg / cm) instead of ultrasonic fusion. The evaluation of the engagement strength was performed using a mushroom-shaped hook (Majiloc S5002 manufactured by Kuraray Co., Ltd.) as a male material. Table 1 shows the results.
3 is shown.

From Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 in Table 1, it can be seen that when the basis weight is in the range of 30 to 300 g / m 2 , the engagement strength, flexibility and surface quality are excellent. Examples 3 and 4,
From Comparative Examples 3 and 4, it can be seen that when the thickness of the synthetic fiber is in the range of 1 to 20 denier, the engagement strength, flexibility and surface quality are excellent. From Example 5 and Comparative Examples 5 and 6, the felting needle count was in the range of 30 to 42 in the engagement strength,
It can be seen that the flexibility and the surface quality are excellent. From Examples 6 and 7, and Comparative Examples 7 and 8, the loop height was 0.3 to 7 mm.
It can be seen that when it is within the range, the engagement strength, flexibility and surface quality are excellent. Further, from Examples 8 and 9, and Comparative Examples 9 and 10, the number of loops was 10 to 10 on at least one surface.
It can be seen that when 100 particles / cm 2 exist, the engagement strength, flexibility, and surface quality are excellent. Each characteristic was balanced. In addition, Examples 10 to 13 and Comparative Examples 11 to 13
From the above, the discontinuous melt-densified portion has an area ratio of 2 to 3
When it has 0%, the engaging strength, the flexibility, and the surface quality are excellent, and the respective properties are balanced. Example 13
From Comparative Example 14, it can be seen that when the applied amount of the adhesive exceeds 25% by weight, the engaging strength is extremely reduced and the flexibility is also reduced. In addition, in Conventional Examples 1-3, it turns out that engagement strength is low and flexibility is not enough.
