Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacity of an activated carbon type deodorizing unit, to control differential pressure of a refuse pit to prevent leakage of odor, to facilitate an operation of a hot stove for dryer or a deodorizing furnace, and to deodorize odor air as a combustion air of an incinerating furnace when the furnace is installed in parallel with an RDF manufacturing facility. SOLUTION: Odor air is collected from respective odor generating zones of an RDF manufacturing apparatus 1 to a refuse pit 2. Part of the collected odor air is sent from the pit 2 to a hot stove for a dryer or deodorizing furnace as combustion air. Simultaneously, its residue is sucked from the pit 2 by a deodorizing fan 6 through a deodorizing unit 5 so that the pit 2 is always held at a negative pressure. A differential pressure between the pit 2 and a platform 9 or the atmosphere is detected by a differential pressure gage 11, and an odor air amount is controlled so that the detected value falls within a predetermined range. Thus, the unit 5 is controlled to be operated.

As described above, in the method of individually collecting the odor air from the odor generation zones and treating the collected odor air with the activated carbon type deodorizer, the size (capacity) of the deodorizer is as follows. Since the odor concentration is determined in proportion to the air flow regardless of the odor concentration, the deodorizing device is inevitably large in size, resulting in high cost.

[0005] The RDF manufacturing equipment has a portion that requires combustion air, such as a hot air stove for a dryer. If the combustion air in such a portion is replaced with odor air, the deodorizing device can be downsized. However, since the amount of combustion air of the dryer fluctuates, and since the RDF manufacturing equipment is not operated continuously all day, it is difficult to adjust the amount of odor air to be sent to the deodorizer and the amount of odor air to be sent to the dryer.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION According to the present invention, odor air is collected in refuse pits from various odor generation zones of refuse treatment equipment, and a part of the collected odor air is discharged from the refuse pit to a hot air oven or a deodorizing furnace for a dryer. To the waste pit through a deodorizing device, and suck the remaining part through a deodorizing fan to keep the waste pit at a negative pressure. The differential pressure between the waste pit and the platform or atmosphere is detected. A deodorizing method in a refuse treatment facility, wherein the odor air amount is controlled so that the value falls within a required range, and the deodorizing device is controlled and operated accordingly.

[0008] A typical example of the refuse treatment facility is an RDF production facility for crushing combustible refuse and forming the crushed material into pellets by a molding machine to produce fuel. The odor generation zones at various places in the RDF manufacturing facility include conveyors, crushers, RDF molding machines, and the like.

In FIG. 1, the waste pit (2) and the receiving hopper (7) of the RDF manufacturing facility (1) are closed rooms. The combustible waste transported to the platform (9) by the packer truck opens the shutter (8) of the waste pit (2), and is supplied from here to the waste pit (2), where it is lifted and transported (10). The appropriate amount is sent to the receiving hopper (7).

The remainder of the odor air is an activated carbon deodorizer.
After passing through (5), it is sucked from the garbage pit (2) by the deodorizing fan (6), and the inside of the garbage pit (2) is always kept at a negative pressure. Dust pit (2) and platform (9) by differential pressure gauge (11)
And a fan control signal based on the pressure difference is sent to the deodorizing fan (6).
The deodorizing fan (6) is controlled so that a certain pressure difference (preferably several mmHg to several tens of mmHg) is generated between (2) and the platform (9). Thus, the deodorizing device
(5) is controlled and the gas deodorized by the device (5) is released to the atmosphere.
