Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a possibility that paper causes conveyance jam by transmitting the rotation of a drive roller sufficiently, even if it is difficult to move a movable guide member accurately due to unevenness of parts. SOLUTION: A plate-like fixed guide member 60 and a movable guide member 61 are provided opposingly, and a paper conveyance path F is formed therebetween. A plurality of drive rollers 50 are provided by supporting them at fixed positions along the paper conveyance path on a fixed guide member side, and a plurality of driven rollers 51 which support by it through an elastic member and press against the drive rollers 50 by elastic force of the elastic member, respectively, are provided on a movable guide member side. The movable guide member 61 regulates the travel of the driven rollers 51 against the elastic member so as to form a stopper by cutting and raising a part and hold a condition in which it protrudes from a paper guide face at all times. Moreover, it is mounted on a connection member 70 through a plurality of arm members 66a, 66b to press the driven rollers against the drive rollers by energizing the connection member by an energizing member.

However, in such a conventional paper transport device, the dispersion of parts causes
It is difficult to accurately move the movable guide member 102 in parallel. For example, a sheet can be reliably sandwiched between a part of the driving roller 104 and the driven roller 105, but the sheet can be sandwiched between the remaining driving roller 104 and the driven roller 105. Since the pinch cannot be reliably held, the rotation of the drive roller 104 cannot be sufficiently transmitted, and there has been a problem that a paper jam may occur.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to solve such a conventional problem in a paper transport apparatus that changes a gap in a paper transport path by moving a movable guide member according to a bundle thickness of transport paper. Even if it is difficult to accurately move the movable guide member due to a variation in parts, the rotation of the driving roller can be sufficiently transmitted to eliminate the possibility that a paper jam occurs.

According to the present invention, a driven roller is supported by a guide member and the driven roller is pressed against a driving roller supported at a fixed position by the elastic force of an elastic member. In a paper transporting apparatus for transporting a sheet by rotation of a driving roller while being sandwiched between a driving roller and a driven roller while being guided by a paper guiding surface of a guiding member, a state in which the guiding member always projects from a paper guiding surface of the guiding member is maintained. A stopper is provided to regulate the movement of the driven roller against the elastic member, while the guide member is movably urged by an urging member, and the driven member is pressed against the driving roller by the urging member. The biasing force of the biasing member is made larger than the elastic force of the elastic member.

Next, the chuck arm pair 37, which has been waiting at the downward position indicated by the chain line in the drawing, is rotated to the position indicated by the solid line by the cam 38, and the leading end sandwiches the paper and rotates clockwise around the fulcrum 37a. The sheet rotates and is conveyed downward to guide the sheet from the rear end side to the sheet conveyance path F for distribution. When the pair of chuck arms 37 returns to the position indicated by the alternate long and short dash line, the pair of chuck arms 37 is opened by the operation of the cam 38, and the rotation operation is accelerated while releasing the sheet to take over the sheet to the sheet transport path F.

However, when a sheet having a larger bundle thickness (2 to 4 mm or more) is fed into the sheet transport path F, the movable guide member is pressed against the urging force of the urging member 71 according to the bundle thickness of the sheet. The space between the fixed guide member 60 and the fixed guide member 60 is widened by moving 61. The fixed guide member 60 and the movable guide member 6
1 guides the sheet between the driving roller 50 and the driven roller 51, and also moves the driven roller 51 against the elastic force of the elastic member 63 in accordance with the thickness of the sheet bundle, thereby expanding the space between the driven roller 50 and the driven roller 50. ,
The paper is transported through the paper transport path F by the rotation of the drive roller 50 sandwiched between the drive roller 50 and the driven roller 51.

The sheet that has advanced to the sheet conveying path F is conveyed downward as shown in FIG. 11 by a driving roller 50 and a driven roller 51, and a paper discharge tray where the rear end of the sheet is discharged as shown in FIG. At a point slightly below the position of the branching claw 52 of No. 8, the conveyance of the sheet is stopped. At this time, if the paper is a large-sized paper or the discharge tray 8 to be discharged is at the lower side, the paper is once sent to the U-turn unit 56.

Since the branch claw 52 must deflect the sheet conveyed from the upper and lower directions to the sheet discharge tray 8, the branch claw 52 shown in FIG.
As shown in FIG. 5, the structure is divided into two, one for use from the top and one for use from the bottom. The two are meshed with each other by the gear portion 52a, and if one of them is deflected, the other can be deflected as shown in FIG. In the state of FIG. 15, the tips of the two claws intersect, but the two claws are comb-shaped to avoid interference.

Therefore, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the stopper for restricting the movement of the driven roller against the elastic member so that the guide member always keeps protruding from the paper guide surface is maintained. On the other hand, since the guide member is movable and urged by the urging member, the driven member also presses the driven roller against the driving roller, and the urging force of the urging member is made larger than the elastic force of the elastic member. In a paper transport device that changes the gap in the paper transport path by moving the movable guide member according to the bundle thickness of the transport paper, even if the movable guide member is slightly inclined due to variations in parts, the error is biased. The rotation is absorbed by the member and the elastic member, and the rotation of the driving rollers is sufficiently transmitted by securely sandwiching the sheet between all the driving rollers and the driven rollers, so that the occurrence of paper conveyance jam can be prevented.
