Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a creeping distance of an insulating cover. SOLUTION: Downside parts of half cut pieces 22a, 22b constituting an insulating cover 10 are joined with a bolt and a nut made of a synthetic resin, and upside parts are joined by being sandwiched by a lock pipe 90. Because the creeping distance upward from a live part (an aluminum pipe 100 and support metal fittings 104) is a distance from a transverse swell part 22 through an upside flat part 32 and a flange part 34 to an axial opening 92 of the lock pipe 90, the creeping distance becomes much longer than that of a structure in which a bolt hole or the like is provided on the upside flat part 32.

[0003] In such a supporting portion, the pipe side (charged portion) and the support side are insulated by an insulator. For example, if floating substances in the air such as bird droppings, dust, and dust adhere to the insulator, the dirt causes the insulation. There is a possibility that the charging part and the support side may be short-circuited (ground fault) due to impaired performance. Therefore, an insulating cover is used to protect the supporting portion from airborne substances such as bird droppings, dust, and dust.

However, if a bolt hole or the like is provided in the flat plate portion, the creepage distance is defined by the hole, making it difficult to secure a sufficient creepage distance. Of course, if the flat part is lengthened up and down and bolt holes etc. are provided at its ends, the creepage distance can be lengthened, but this will increase the size of the insulating cover and increase the wind pressure received by the flat part. There was an inconvenience.

According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided an insulating cover for covering a connecting portion between a pipe as a conductive material and an insulator supporting the pipe. A T-shaped bulging portion comprising a semi-cylindrical lateral bulging portion extending in the axial direction of the pipe and a vertical bulging portion extending in the axial direction of the insulator; A pair of synthetic resin halves each including a lower flat plate portion provided on the side of the vertical bulging portion of the portion and an upper flat plate portion provided on the side of the horizontal bulging portion opposite to the lower flat plate portion. The split body, the lower joining means made of synthetic resin for joining the lower flat plate portions of the pair of half bodies, and the pair of half bodies facing each other with the concave sides of the bulging portions facing each other. When the lower flat plate portion and the upper flat plate portion are brought into contact with each other, an axial opening having a width matching the joining thickness of both upper flat plate portions is formed. A lock pipe made of synthetic resin, and the pair of halves face each other with the concave sides of the bulging portions facing each other, and the lower flat plate portions are joined to each other by the lower joining means. The upper flat plate portions are brought into contact with each other and joined by sandwiching them at the axial opening of the lock pipe.

The left extension 50 and the right extension 70 have a first extension half 52 and a second extension half (shown as mirror images of the extension half 52, respectively) shown in FIG. Are omitted, and the description is represented by the extended half body 52). The extension half 52 has a semi-cylindrical extension bulge 54 along the axial direction of the aluminum pipe 100. One end of the extended bulging portion 54 (the end that becomes the main body portion 20 when mounted as shown in FIG. 1) has a shape cut along the radial direction, and the other narrowed end portion 56 has a hemispherical shape. It has a shape reduced in planar shape and is cut along two surfaces (in this embodiment, 55 ° inclination) inclined with respect to the axis of the semi-cylinder, and is formed at a joint between the two cut surfaces. Has a corner. This corner is an extension half 5
2 is set so that when it is put on the aluminum pipe 100, it comes into contact with the surface of the aluminum pipe 100.

Since the aperture end 56 has such a shape,
The radius of the opening can be changed by changing the cutting position. Therefore, the extended bulging portion 54 is manufactured in a size applicable to the aluminum pipe 100 having a large diameter, and the cutting position and the cutting direction of the drawn end portion 56 are selected according to the diameter of the aluminum pipe 100 to be actually mounted. Thus, the same extended bulging portion 54 can be attached to the aluminum pipes 100 having various diameters. That is, it is not necessary to manufacture the extended bulging portions 54 having different dimensions for each diameter of the aluminum pipe 100. Moreover,
When the extension half body 52 is put on the aluminum pipe 100,
Since the corners come into contact with the surface of the aluminum pipe 100, the radial displacement of the extension half body 52 (eg, swaying due to wind)
Can be prevented.

Extended upper flat plate portion 60 and extended flange portion 6
2 is inserted into the lock pipe 90 in the same manner as the upper plate portion 32 and the flange portion 34 (see FIG. 2D). At that time, the lock pipe 90 sandwiches the extended upper flat plate portion 60 by its elastic force at the axial opening 92. In addition, the distance between the edges of the extended flange portion 62 in a state where the extended upper plate portions 60 are joined to each other is smaller than the inner diameter of the lock pipe 90, and does not hinder the elastic deformation of the lock pipe 90.
