PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control harmful effect of cigarette smoke on passengers, by provid ing an air inlet and an air outlet in the rear of a rear seat in a vehicle passen ger compartment and constructing an air discharging direction setting means provided on the air outlet so that discharged air is directed towards a space between passenger-occupied spaces on the left-hand side and the right-hand side of the rear seat. SOLUTION: An air purifier provided on the lower part of a rear parcel 2 located in the rear of a vehicle rear seat 1 comprises an air inlet 3 and an air outlet 4 that are symmetrically located with respect to a center line L in the lateral direction of a vehicle body.
