Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a silencer for an air-conditioner with a cutting process being eliminated. SOLUTION: In a silencer 1, a cylinder body 3 with a bottom is molded by forging a matrix 2. The cylinder body 3 with a bottom has a recess 4a formed in a bottom 4 of a silencer 1 during forging. A small diameter hole 4b is formed in the central part of the bottom of the recess 4a through punching to form a pipe socket 4c. The cylinder body 3 with a bottom is then fixed by a fixing member 6, and a throttle part 7 is formed through necking processing applied on the opening 5 side. A recess 7c is formed by press processing applied on the inner peripheral part of the throttle part 7 to form a pipe socket 7a. This method brings a silencer 1 into a finished product without a cutting process and the pipe sockets 4c and 7a are joined with a pipe on the air-conditioner side at a subsequent process.

2. Description of the Related Art A car air conditioner is provided as an air conditioner of an automobile, and a cooling refrigerant circulates in a refrigeration cycle. In a car air conditioner, during operation of the air conditioner, abnormal noise due to the flow of the refrigerant may be generated, which is specific or unique to the model. As a countermeasure, there are various methods, for example, the amount of the refrigerant is adjusted, and the abnormal pressure is prevented by changing the internal pressure of the refrigeration cycle and the flow rate of the refrigerant. In some cases, a method of attaching a silencer to a refrigeration cycle of an air conditioner may be adopted.

As described above, in the conventional silencer manufacturing process, after forging, the length and the total length from the pipe receiving port at the bottom of the silencer to the pipe receiving port at the drawing portion are determined by cutting. Since the forging process for forming the basic shape of the silencer and the cutting process for the pipe receiving port are completely separate processes, the process is time-consuming and requires much processing time and cost. Also, when the pipe opening of the silencer is cut, chips remain inside the silencer, and since the silencer is generally connected to hose fittings arranged before and after the compressor, chips enter the compressor and the liquid tank. Sometimes.

If chips enter the compressor, it causes a shortage of cooling power or damage to the compressor, and clogging of the liquid tank hinders the flow of the refrigerant downstream, causing a shortage of cooling power and completely removing the refrigerant. Must. Also, if there is a burr generated by the cutting, when the refrigerant passes, it may cause flow noise. Furthermore, since the cutting oil is used at the time of the cutting process, it is necessary to dispose of the cutting oil. The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and has as its object to provide a silencer for an air conditioner that completely eliminates cutting processing, eliminates chips and burrs during cutting, and can be easily manufactured. .

Except for the corners, the whole is formed so as to have a constant thickness as much as possible. At that time, a circular recess 4a is formed in the center of the bottom 4 by forging. The diameter of the recess 4a is made substantially equal to the outer diameter of the pipe to be joined in a later step. Next, a small-diameter hole 4b is formed in the center of the bottom of the recess 4a by press punching to form a pipe receiving port 4c having a step. The press punching operation is performed by using the metal plate (die) applied to the flat bottom 4 and the cylindrical body 3.
The cutting is performed by a cutting blade (punch) inserted in the.

Next, the bottomed cylindrical body 3 is fixed by a fixing member 6 and, for example, a drawing die 10 as shown in FIG.
A narrowed portion 7 is formed on the opening side by necking, and an inner peripheral portion of the narrowed portion 7 is formed by pressing with a punch 9 to form a pipe receiving port 7a having a step. That is, the constricted portion 7 is constricted until its inner diameter becomes slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the end of the pipe to be connected in a later step, and the constricted portion 7 is constricted.
b is formed, and then a recess 7c is formed by pressing with a punch 9. The recess 7c substantially matches the outer diameter of the pipe connected to the pipe receiving port 7a. As shown in the enlarged view of the arrow A in FIG. 2, the inner peripheral side of the narrowed portion 7 is provided with a tapered inclined surface 7d to facilitate processing. Thus, the silencer 1 becomes a finished product and is joined to the pipe in the next step.

As described above, the silencer 1 of the present embodiment forms the recess 4a in the bottom 4 when forming the basic shape during forging, and forms the pipe receiving port 4c by pressing in the next step. are doing. Also, the pipe receiving port 7a is formed by pressing after the drawing on the drawn portion 7 side of the silencer 1. In this way, the cutting process is omitted altogether, and the forging process and the pressing process enable the pipe receiving port 4c,
Since 7a can be formed, processing time and cost can be reduced.

In this embodiment, since there is no cutting step, there is no danger that chips generated at the time of cutting the bottomed cylinder are circulated in the refrigeration cycle together with the refrigerant, so that clogging of the liquid tank 15 and the like can be prevented. Therefore, the work to remove chips is reduced and cutting oil is not used.
There is no need to remove it. In addition, since the burrs at the time of cutting are eliminated, it is possible to prevent the generation of the flow noise generated when the refrigerant passes through the burrs.

The manufacturing process of the silencer 1a is basically the same as the manufacturing process of the silencer 1 shown in FIG.
Only the stage of press release differs. That is, after the forging step, the peripheral portion 8 of the silencer 1a is pressed to form a small-diameter hole 8b. At this time, the backing of the cutting tool before drawing can be inserted into the cylinder without any trouble. After the press punching, the periphery of the small-diameter hole 8b is pressed to form a recess 8c to form a pipe port 8a having a step. Thereafter, drawing is performed to form a drawn portion 7, and pressing is performed to form a pipe receiving port 7a. Even with such a molding method, the same effects as those of the above embodiment can be obtained. In the manufacturing process, after the recess 8c is formed, the small-diameter hole 8b may be pressed.
