Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the insertion of a brush into an endoscope pipeline by intertwining many slender strands to form a rope insertable and removable into and from the pipeline of the endoscope and unraveling its one end side, thereby forming a brush hair part. SOLUTION: The twisted wire rope of about 0.9 mm in diameter is formed by using for example, 49 pieces of the strands 1a of fine stainless steel wires of about 0.1 mm in diameter and intertwining these strands to 7×7. The rope which is insertable and removable into and from the endoscope pipeline is formed by using these rope as a blank. This rope is formed longer than the overall length of the endoscope pipeline, to for example, about 1 mm and is held as it is at the shape of the rope exclusive of its both ends. The strand twists at one end of the rope are unraveled to form the brush hair part. A fixing part is formed at the root part of the brush hair part to prevent the loosening of the twists in the rope part. The other end of the rope 1 is provided with a hemispherical front end fixing part. As a result, the insertion of the brush hair part into the endoscope pipeline and the cleaning thereof are made possible.
