Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent production of an abnormal sound and to prevent irregular electrification by inserting a filling material into the inside of a supporting body and fixing the filling material with an adhesive mixed with a resin filler to the inner face of the supporting body. SOLUTION: A filling material 1 is inserted into the inside of the supporting body of the photoreceptor drum 4, and the filling material 1 is fixed with an adhesive 5 mixed with a resin filler to the inner wall 2a of the supporting body. The adhesive used is preferably an anaerobic adhesive. The resin filler used is a crosslinked copolymer essentially consisting of divinylbenzene, and its particle size is preferably 2 to 100 μm, more preferably 5 to 16 μm. The mixing ratio of the resin filler to the adhesive is preferably 7:13 to 1:99 by weight, and more preferably 1:2 to 2:1. Thereby, deformation of the supporting body due to uneven coating state of the adhesive can be prevented and the quality of obtd. images can be improved. Moreover, production of abnormal sound can be prevented by the antivibration effect of the filling material 1.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, as electrophotographic apparatuses have become smaller and lighter, the photoreceptor drum has also been required to be smaller and lighter. , Thinner ones have been used. Further, instead of corona discharge as a charging method of the electrophotographic process, a contact charging method in which a conductive member (charging member) such as a roller, a brush, or a blade to which a voltage is applied is brought into contact with the surface of the photosensitive drum is increasing.

[0003] This contact charging system has merits such as reduction of ozone generation and reduction of applied voltage. However, on the other hand, problems such as generation of resonance due to friction of the cleaning blade or generation of abnormal noise due to resonance with the contact charger have been emphasized. As means for reducing this noise to solve this problem, Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 62-12

No. 7 reports that a sound level that does not pose a practical problem is achieved by fixing the gap between the photosensitive drum base (support) and the filler within 100 μm by bonding.

As described above, the sound is generated from the electrophotographic photosensitive drum due to the vibration of the contact charging system, and the friction is caused by the friction of a process unit (for example, a cleaning blade or the like) which comes into contact with the photosensitive drum. In order to respond to noise, the entire weight can be reduced by putting a filler such as metal or elastic body inside the electrophotographic photosensitive drum, or attaching a heavy object to the flange such as ABS resin material attached to both ends to rotate and drive. Means for reducing abnormal noise such as increasing the number of noises are taken. In addition, when a metal vibration absorbing member (filler) is placed inside the electrophotographic photosensitive drum, it is necessary to fix the photosensitive drum and the filler, and a method of fixing with an adhesive has been proposed.

[0005] However, when the photosensitive drum base is combined with a metal or elastic filler, the adhesive must be interposed between the inner wall of the drum base and the outer wall of the filler. Due to the relationship between the uniformity and the shrinkage rate of the adhesive itself, the drum substrate at the portion where the filler is inserted is deformed, and the charging device causes uneven charging in a device that copies by the contact charging method. There is a problem that an image having uneven density occurs in a tone image.

Rocktire's LOCTITE601 (viscosity 100m

That is, the cyanoacrylate-based adhesive has a phenomenon in which the adhesive itself sublimes and whitens by reacting with moisture in the air. In addition, since the epoxy adhesive is a two-liquid mixture type, the pot life of the adhesive is short, and there is a problem in the decrease in adhesive ability and operability.

(1) According to the first aspect of the present invention, the filler to be inserted into the photoreceptor support for anti-vibration is fixed with an adhesive containing a resin filler, thereby reducing the adhesive. Deformation of the support due to uneven coating can be prevented, the quality of the obtained image can be improved, and generation of abnormal noise can be prevented by the vibration-proof effect of the filler. (2) According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the anaerobic adhesive is used, the adhesive does not whiten or sublime inside the support, and good adhesive ability is maintained. . (3) According to the third aspect of the invention, since the resin filler has a more uniform particle size distribution than the inorganic filler material, a uniform adhesive layer can be formed. (4) According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, since the particle size of the resin filler is set to 2 to 100 μm, the adhesive liquid mixed with the resin filler enters into the corners of the gap, and the permeation unevenness of the adhesive can be minimized. . (5) According to the invention of claim 5, the mixing ratio between the resin filler as a powder and the adhesive as a liquid maximizes the effect.
