Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably support a fishing rod by utilizing a waist bag and carry the fishing rod in a favorable condition by providing an auxiliary carrier for fishing rod provided with a mechanism which has a face fastener on one side and a ring or cylinder on the other side and supports the fishing rod at least two sections. SOLUTION: An auxiliary carrier 4 for fishing rod is provided at one section in both right and left end parts of a waist bag, respectively, and supports fishing rods at at least two sections. A support tool on one side is a face fastener 6, and left ends 6a are mutually fixed by sewing them to open and close it by holding a right end 6b with a hand. The other support tool is a ring or a cylinder 8 made of cloth, and a wide string 10 is sewn with the cylinder 8 to integrate the cylinder 8 with the waist bag. Since the string 10 is confined into the face fastener 6 merely, it is possible to adjust its position simply by opening the face fastener 6. Consequently, it is possible to support fishing rods stably and carry them in a favorable condition.

2. Description of the Related Art Waist bags are often used to carry small luggage during mountain climbing, hiking, recreational activities, fishing and the like. On the other hand, it seems that a simple bag to wear to carry a fishing rod when going out for fishing is not known at present.

The inventor of the present invention considered transporting a fishing rod using a waist bag, but the problem was how to overcome the difference in shape between the two.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a waist bag suitable for carrying a fishing rod.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION It is preferable that a fishing rod transporting aid has a mechanism for supporting a fishing rod at at least two places in order to stably support a fishing rod. The mechanism for supporting the fishing rod at two places is, for example, one is a hook-and-loop fastener and the other is a ring or a cylinder. Preferably, at least two fishing rod transport aids are provided in one bag. This is because two or more fishing rods can be carried.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is a back view of an angler wearing a bag of the present invention. FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of a fishing rod mounting portion of the waist bag.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, there are one transport aid 4 for the fishing rod 2 (contained in the plastic bag 12) at each of the left and right ends of the waist bag. Since their structures are symmetrical, only the transport aid 4 for the right fishing rod will be described.

The fishing rod transport aid of the present invention supports a fishing rod at at least two places. The first support is a hook-and-loop fastener 6. As shown in FIG. 2, a hook-and-loop fastener 6 is attached to the end of the waist bag. Since the left end 6a of the hook-and-loop fastener is fixed by sewing or the like, the hook-and-loop fastener can be released and closed by holding the right end 6b by hand so as to turn over the pages of the book. FIG. 2 shows a state where the hook-and-loop fastener 6 is released. Velcro (trademark) or Velcro (trademark) is preferable as the surface fastener.

The second support of the fishing rod transport aid is a ring or tube 8. What is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is a cylinder 8 made of cloth. A wide string 10 for integrating the tube and the waist bag is sewn to the tube. The tube and the waist bag are integrated such that the cord is confined in the hook-and-loop fastener 6. Since the cord 10 is merely confined within the hook-and-loop fastener, the hook-and-loop fastener can be released and its position can be easily adjusted.

As shown in FIG. 1, the fishing rod is normally housed in a plastic bag 12 or the like in a shortened state. A portion near the lower end of the plastic bag is put in a tube, and a little above the plastic bag is confined in the hook-and-loop fastener 6. By doing so, the fishing rod is fixed at two places, so that the fishing rod does not fall off even if it exercises a little hard (for example, riding a bicycle or motorcycle).

According to the present invention, it is possible to carry a fishing rod using a waist bag, which has been impossible so far. Moreover, it is stable because it is supported at two places. One of them is housed in a hook-and-loop fastener so that it is unlikely to fall off. The other is a ring or a cylinder, which has some freedom of movement, so that the body can be moved without difficulty.

[Claims] 1. A waist bag provided with a fishing rod transport aid (4). 2. The waist bag according to claim 1, wherein the fishing rod transport aid has a mechanism for supporting the fishing rod at at least two places. 3. The waist bag according to claim 2, wherein one of the two mechanisms for supporting the fishing rod is a hook-and-loop fastener (6) and the other is a ring or a tube (8). 4. The waist bag according to claim 1, wherein two transporting aids for the fishing rod are provided.
