汎用プロトコルを用いてネットワークに接続され、移動体に設けられた情報発生端末のカメラによって撮影された映像をクライアントに配信する情報提供装置であって、
複数の前記情報発生端末から所定時間間隔で送信された位置情報で、各情報発生端末に対応して設けられた記憶部の情報を更新する端末状態記憶手段と、
クライアントによって要求された位置付近の情報発生端末を検索する検索手段と、
前記検索手段によって検索された情報発生端末の一覧情報およびクライアントによって要求された位置付近の情報発生端末のカメラによって撮影された映像を受信するための情報をクライアントに送信する送信手段と、
とを備えることを特徴とする情報提供装置。

前記送信手段は、クライアントから要求された位置近傍のマップ画像と当該マップ画像中の情報発生端末が存在する位置を示すアイコン画像との合成画像情報、及び、アイコン画像にリンクし、前記マップ画像中の情報発生端末の映像を受信するためのＵＲＬ情報を含むＨＴＭＬで記述されたデータを転送することを特徴とする請求項第１項に記載の情報提供装置。

汎用プロトコルを用いてネットワークに接続され、移動体に設けられた情報発生端末のカメラによって撮影された映像をクライアントに配信する情報提供装置の制御方法であって、
複数の前記情報発生端末から所定時間間隔で送信された位置情報で、各情報発生端末に対応して設けられた記憶部の情報を更新する端末状態記憶工程と、
クライアントによって要求された位置付近の情報発生端末を検索する検索工程と、
前記検索工程において検索された情報発生端末の一覧情報およびクライアントによって要求された位置付近の情報発生端末のカメラによって撮影された映像を受信するための情報をクライアントに送信する送信工程と、
とを備えることを特徴とする情報提供装置の制御方法。
