Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for printed circuit board of right angle type, whereby a housing is lifted when a cable side connector is to be coupled or in any other similar case so as to preclude generation of any trouble such as poor performance of contacting. SOLUTION: A connector is structured so that a projection 23 capable of being engaged with a base board 10 is formed near an opening 18 provided beside a housing 11 which accommodates a socket to be fitted on a pin 12 having a right-angle L-shape. In particular, the projection is formed in a single piece with the bottom surface of the housing. The projection is protruded approx. in the same direction as the dip part 12a of the pin, wherein the forefront is formed in taper and hooked where an engage pawl 23b for slipoff prevention is provided, and passage of the engage pawl through a mounting hole 25 provided in the base board and engagement of the pawl with the opening edge of the hole are established through expansion and contraction of the relationship between the dip part and projection caused by an elastic deformation of the pin.
