Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of abnormal sound and uncomfortable sound by mounting a spindle to one of a supporting member and a tilting member in the state of being non-rotatable and mounting the spindle to the other member through a synthetic resin bearing tool concerning pivotally supporting part pivotally supporting the tilting member to the supporting member. SOLUTION: This metallic supporting member 4 is mounted to a leg part and a metallic tilting member 5 provided with a seat part and a back rest part is pivotally supported to the member 4 by the pivotally supporting part in the state of being capable of tilting against the elastic energizing force of a compressed coil spring. Concerning the part 6, the spindle 12 is mounted to one of the supporting member 4 and the tilting member 5 in the state of being non-rotatable and the spindle 12 is rotatably mounted to the other member through the synthetic resin bearing tool 13 to restrict a part sliding with the spindle 12 between with the tool 13 by the tilting operation of the member 5 with respect to the member 4. Thus, the generation of abnormal sound and uncomfortable sound is prevented.

[0003] Usually, in such a tilting device for a chair,
The structure of the pivoting portion of the tilting member with respect to the support member is such that a metal support shaft is penetrated through a shaft hole provided in the overlapping portion of both members to support the shaft, and furthermore, a composite is formed between the overlapping portions of both members around the shaft hole. Since it has a structure with a resin spacer interposed, when the tilting member is tilted about the support shaft with respect to the support member,
Abnormal sound or unpleasant sound due to friction between metals may occur between the support shaft and one or both shaft holes. Conventionally, in order to prevent the occurrence of an abnormal sound or an unpleasant sound due to the rubbing between metals, bearings made of synthetic resin have been attached to the shaft holes of both the support member and the tilting member.

On the other hand, a compression coil spring is disposed vertically between the support member and the tilting member and away from the pivot, and the lower end of the compression coil spring is placed on the support member. At the same time, the abutting portion of the tilting member or a member connected to the tilting member is mounted on the upper end of the compression coil spring, and has an elastic resistance to the downward displacement of the tilting member. When the tilting member is tilted backward, the contact portion is displaced along a locus on a circle centered on a pivot, and the compression coil spring expands and contracts only in the direction of its spring axis. The upper end of the spring slides, and the rubbing causes an abnormal sound or an unpleasant sound.

First, according to a first aspect of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, a pivotal support portion 6 for pivotally supporting the tilting member 5 on the support member 4 includes one of the support member 4 and the tilting member 5. The support shaft 12 is non-rotatably mounted on the member, and the support shaft 12 is rotatably mounted on the other member via a synthetic resin bearing 13. The tilting operation of the tilting member 5 with respect to the support member 4 causes the support shaft 12 to rotate. The portion that slides on the shaft 12 is limited between the bearing member 13 and the occurrence of abnormal noise and unpleasant noise is prevented.

More specifically, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, a support shaft 12 is attached to both cover plates 11 of the tilting member 5.
And a large-diameter shaft hole 15 into which the bearing 13 is inserted at a position corresponding to each of the side plates 9 and 9 of the support member 4. The support shaft 1 inserted into the shaft hole 14 of the tilting member 5
2 is inserted into the shaft hole 15 of the support member 4
Is rotatably inserted through a sliding hole 16 penetrating through the center of the hole. In this embodiment, a pair of short shafts 12 are used, and the shaft hole 14 and the sliding hole 1 are formed on both sides.
6 is inserted. A head 17 having a rectangular shape in a side view is formed integrally with the outer end of the support shaft 12. The head 17 is brought into contact with the outer surface of the cover plate 11 of the tilting member 5. At least one side of the portion 17 abuts on a projection 18 projecting from the outer surface of the cover plate 11, thereby restricting rotation of the support shaft 12 with respect to the shaft hole 14. Further, an E-ring 19 for retaining is fitted to the tip of the support shaft 12. Further, the bearing 13 is integrally formed with a spacer portion 20 interposed between the side plate 9 of the support member 4 and the cover plate 11 of the tilting member 5.

Further, as another embodiment of the first invention, the support shaft 12 is a long object having a length penetrating through the shaft holes 14, 14 of both the cover plates 11, 11 of the tilting member 5, and is similar to the above. With the bearings 13, 13 fitted in the shaft holes 15, 15 of the support member 4, the support shaft 12 is moved from the shaft hole 14 of one cover plate 11 to the sliding holes 16 of the bearings 13, 13. 16, is inserted into the shaft hole 14 of the other cover plate 11, and the head 17 is stopped against the same protrusion 18 protruding from the outer surface of the one cover plate 11 to regulate the rotation. An E-ring 19 is fitted to the tip of the to prevent it from coming off.

In the present invention, the structure of the support member 4 and the tilting member 5 is not particularly limited, and both members have a plate-like portion which overlaps inside and outside each other. To form the pivot 6. Further, the direction of the support shaft 12 may be reversed inside and outside, and the same protrusion 18 as described above may be formed on the inner surface side of the side plate 9 of the support member 4.

The support shaft 12 cannot rotate with respect to the tilting member 5 and can rotate with respect to the support member 4 via a bearing 13 made of synthetic resin. Therefore, even if the tilting member 5 is tilted about the pivot 6 with respect to the support member 4, the metal support shaft 12 does not slide with the metal portion of the support member 4 or the tilting member 5. Since it slides only with the sliding hole 16 of the resin bearing 13, no abnormal sound or unpleasant sound is generated.

As described above, the chair tilting device of the present invention is characterized in that a metal tilting member provided with a seat portion and a backrest portion is attached to a metal supporting member mounted on a leg portion by the elasticity of a compression coil spring. What is claimed is: 1. A chair tilting device pivotally supported in a tiltable manner against an urging force, wherein a pivoting portion for pivotally supporting a tilting member on said support member is non-rotatably supported on one of the support member and the tilting member. Since the shaft is mounted and the support shaft is rotatably mounted on the other member via a bearing made of synthetic resin, the tilting member with respect to the support member can be obtained by using only one bearing for one pivot. It is possible to prevent an abnormal sound or a discomfort sound from being generated at the pivotal portion, and to realize a smooth tilting of the backrest portion or the backrest portion and the seat portion.

Further, a lower end of the compression coil spring is mounted on the support member, a slider having an upper surface as a sliding surface is mounted on an upper end of the compression coil spring, and a horizontal shaft provided on a lower surface side of the tilting member. Since the pin comes into contact with the sliding surface of the slider and the shaft pin slides back and forth on the sliding surface of the slider with the tilting of the tilting member,
An abnormal sound or an unpleasant sound is prevented from being generated at a contact portion between the tilting member of the compression coil spring for elastically biasing the tilting member with respect to the support member, and the backrest portion or the backrest portion and the seat portion are prevented from being generated.
