SOLUTION: A throttle valve in the intake system of an internal-combustion engine is fixed to a throttle valve shaft having one end coupled with a lever which is linked with a lever 6 on the side of a throttle valve opening detector. Rotation of the throttle valve shaft is transmitted through the lever 6 to a rotator 7. Brushes 8a, 8b are fixed to the rotator 7 and throttle valve opening is detected based on an output value being obtained when the brushes 8a, 8b slide on resistor patterns 1a, 1b on a resistor substrate 9. Voltages 3a, 4a are outputted from the connecting terminals 3, 4 of a variable resistor.
