Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a half-folded paper money by a small number of sensors. SOLUTION: An accumulation stage 10 is constituted by combinations of a first flat part 10a having a length of 1/4 or less of a length of a paper money in the transverse direction, a first inclined face 10b extending in the direction of descent from the first flat part 10a, a second flat part 10c which extends horizontally from a lower end of the first inclined face 10b and has a length of 1/4 or less of a length of the paper money in the transverse direction, and a second inclined face 10d which extends in the direction of descent from the second flat part 10c and has a length of 1/2 or less of a length of the paper money in the transverse direction. An optical axis of a remaining sensor 8 passes the vicinity of a lower end of the first inclined face 10b, and the optical axis passes a section of 1/2 or less of a length of the paper money in the transverse direction from a lower end of the accumulation stage 10.

2. Description of the Related Art Banknote depositing / dispensing devices installed in financial institutions such as banks are used to discriminate between banknotes left behind by customers, lost or damaged bills at the time of depositing, unspecified denominations at the time of withdrawal, and abnormal traveling tickets. There is provided a reject cassette capable of taking in and accumulating bills. The reject cassette is provided with a bill remaining sensor using an optical sensor having an optical axis that penetrates a stage for stacking bills, so that the bills accumulated on the stage can be detected.

Here, there are cases where a half-folded bill is stored in the reject cassette. For this reason, it was necessary to increase the number of residual sensors. However, as the number of sensors increases, the cost of the device increases,
The assembly is complicated, and since the residual sensor is provided outside the reject cassette, the reject cassette requires a large number of holes for the optical axis.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention relates to a bill storage box provided with a stage for accumulating bills discharged along the transverse direction. It is composed of a combination of a flat portion having a length of 1/4 or less of the length in the hand direction and a slope extending downward from the flat portion. A sensor is provided so that the optical axis passes through a place of 1/2 or less of the length, and two sets of the sensors are provided in the longitudinal direction of the bill with an interval of 1/2 or less of the length. It is what it was.

The integration stage 11 is also provided with an optical axis hole 12 having the same configuration and the same arrangement as the optical axis hole 12 described in FIG. Hereinafter, the operation of the present embodiment will be described by taking as an example the banknote storage unit 2 that has been forgotten. FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram showing a state of a half-folded bill. FIG. 3A shows a half-folded bill in the longitudinal direction, and the length in the transverse direction is half that of a normal bill. FIG. 3B shows a banknote that is half-folded in the short direction, and the length in the longitudinal direction is half that of a normal banknote.

FIG. 4 is a schematic side view showing the relationship between the stacking stage and the length of the bill. As described above, the length L1 of the first flat portion 10a and the second flat portion 10c of the stacking stage 10 is Since the length is set to 1/4 or less of the length of the bill in the short direction, each of the above-mentioned lengths L4 of the bill folded in the longitudinal direction shown in FIG. The length L1 of the flat portion is 以下 or less.

Therefore, the banknote A that is half-folded in the longitudinal direction
Is discharged onto the first flat portion 10a by the stacking mechanism 4, the banknote A falls on the first slope 10b, and when released on the first flat portion 10a, the bill A falls on the second slope 10d. become. FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 are schematic side views showing the state of accumulation of banknotes. When the banknote A that has been half-folded in the longitudinal direction is discharged by the stacking mechanism 4 onto the second flat portion 10c, the banknote A falls from here onto the second slope 10d, or is directly discharged onto the second slope 10d. Since the length of the second slope 10d is set to be 以下 or less of the length of the bill in the short direction, as shown in FIG. It protrudes from the second slope 10d. Thereby, the bill A will block the optical axis of the residual sensor 8,
Even if the bill is half-folded in the longitudinal direction, the remaining bill can be detected.

Further, since the bill A that has been folded in half in the longitudinal direction is discharged onto the first flat portion 10a by the stacking mechanism 4, it falls on the first slope 10b from here, or directly into the first slope 10b.
Bill A is discharged to the first slope 1b.
6B, the lower end of the bill A reaches the lower end of the first slope 10b as shown in FIG. As a result, the bill A blocks the optical axis of the residual sensor 8, and the residual can be detected even if the bill is half-folded in the longitudinal direction.

Here, as shown in FIG. 3B, when the bill is half-folded in the transverse direction, two sets of residual sensors 8 are used.
Is set to be equal to or less than half the length of the bill in the longitudinal direction, and the distance from the side end of the stacking stage 10 to the optical axis closer to this side end is also set. , The length is set to be equal to or less than half the length of the bill in the longitudinal direction, so that any one of the optical axes of the two sets of residual sensors 8 is always blocked, and the residual can be detected. In addition, when the bill is not broken, the bill is accumulated on the accumulation stage 10, so that the optical axis of the residual sensor 8 is always blocked, and the residual can be detected.

Although the above operation has been described with reference to the forgotten bill storage unit 2 side, the same applies to the reject bill storage unit 3 side. As described above, in the present embodiment, two sets of the residual sensors are arranged at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the banknote. The length from the side end of the stacking stage to the optical axis closer to this side end is also set to be 1/2 of the length of the bill in the longitudinal direction. It is set to be 2 or less.

Further, the integration stage has a stepped shape composed of a first flat part, a first slope, a second flat part, and a second slope, and the first flat part and the second flat part are formed. The length of the flat part is 1/4 of the length of the bill in the short direction.
In addition to the above, the length of the second slope is set to 1/2 or less of the length of the bill in the short direction, and the optical axis of the residual sensor is set near the lower end of the first slope. Through.

Therefore, even a bill folded halfway in the longitudinal direction or a bill folded halfway in the transverse direction can be reliably detected by two sets of residual sensors per storage unit.
In the present embodiment, the stacking stages 10 and 11 are fixed, but may be a movable stage in which the stacking stages 10 and 11 are lowered as the number of stored banknotes increases. That is, until the first banknote is stacked, even the movable stage is at the position shown in FIG. 1, so that the first stacked banknote is a half-folded banknote in the longitudinal direction or the short direction. This is because, even if there is, it can be detected by two sets of residual sensors.

As described above, according to the present invention, in a bill storage box provided with a stage for accumulating bills discharged along the transverse direction, the stage is provided with a length of the bill in the transverse direction. A flat portion having a length of 1/4 or less and a slope extending in a direction descending from the flat portion are combined. A sensor is provided so that the optical axis passes through the following places, and the sensor is in the longitudinal direction of the bill,
Two sets are provided at an interval of 1/2 or less of the length.

Therefore, whether the banknotes stacked on the stage are half-folded in the longitudinal direction or half-folded in the short direction, the two sets of sensors can reliably detect the number of sensors. Reducing the number of sensors reduces the number of sensors, thereby reducing the number of optical axis holes opened in the outer frame of the bill storage box.
The appearance and security of the bill storage box can be improved.
