本物品は、「使用状態を示す参考図１」及び「使用状態を示す参考図２」に示すように、複数枚を連結することにより自立するパーティションであり、その内部空間を執務スペース等の様々な用途に使用できるものである。意匠登録を受けようとする部分は、垂直方向において長さの異なる二つの板状部材から成る連結部の周辺部である。本物品は、主としてウレタン等の合成樹脂材や固綿等の軽量素材を内部に用いているため、例えば、金属ファスナー、面ファスナー等のあらゆる連結手段により連結することができる。また、当該連結態様により形成される側方開口部は、例えば、出入口部や通気口、窓部等として使用することができる。本物品の各パーティションは、連結を解除することで、マットレスとして使用することもできる。
