Abstract

يمكن على العموم استخدام الكثير من مكونات القشرة الارضية في رصفات الطرق، اذا كانت هذه المواد مناسبة انشائيا وكانت كلفة استخدامها ضمن الحدود المسموح فيها ويمكن لهذه المواد ان تنافس المواد التقليدية من حيث توفرها وجدواها الاقتصادية. توفر مادة الصخر الزيتي على اعماق ضلحة بالاضافة الى وجودها بكميات كبيرة في مناطق متقاربة جعل منها مصدرا هاما للطاقة وهناك استخدامات اخرى لهذه المادة الصخرية، واستخدام مادة الصخر الزيتي في رصفات الطرق هو من هذه الاستخدامات المقترحة في هذا البحث وتمت دراسة استخدام الضخر الزيتي كمادة انشائية في الطبقات الدنيا (Base ,Subbase) والطبقة العليا في الخلطات الاسفلتية كما تم بحث استخدام رماد الصخر الزيتي كمواد ناعمة ومثبتة للخلطات الاسفلتية الساخنة ودلت التجارب التي اجريت في هذا البحث على الصخر الزيتي الماخوذ من منطقة اللجون الواقعة في اواسط المملكة الاردنية الهاشمية على معلومات قيمة متعلقة بالصخر الزيتي واستخداماته في رصفات الطرق. يتقدم فرق البحث هذا بالامتنان والشكر لسلطة المصادر الطبيعية (NRA) في الاردن على توفير المواد الخام وبعض الامكانات المتعلقة بهذا البحث العلمي
