Abstract

In a hinged-lid cigarette pack, facing side walls (26) of the lid (5) and/or side walls (23) of a wrapped charge of cigarettes are treated to exhibit a high coefficient of friction in relation to each other. This resists a tendency of the hinged lid to reopen slightly from its closed position.
