Abstract

The present invention relates to a process and installation for the regeneration of used lubricant oils with a low content of fuel-oil, fatty acids and chlorine products. The used lubricant oils are subjected to successive stages in this order addition of strong bases in aqueous solution to the proportion of 0.5 to 3 % of pure bases related to the mass of used oils, dehydration and extraction of the light hydrocarbons, extraction and recovery of diesel—oil (stripping), extraction of impurities.
