Abstract

A reclosable can top closure includes a fixed insert having a pouring aperture, and a twist—to—open closure element initially installed in the aperture. Breakable tamper—indicating means connect the closure element to an anchor attached to the insert, or to the top of the can. After the can has been opened, a flexible tether prevents the closure element from being lost or discarded.
