6. Coat hanger (1; 200) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said support area (16; 216; 316) of said base structure (2) comprises an inverted or substantially ovoid U shape.

7. Coat hanger (200) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises means (250, 251; 351) for adjusting the position of said at least one gripper (7, 8) on said support area (16; 216; 316).

8. Coat hanger (200) according to claim 7), characterized in that said adjustment means (250, 251) comprise at least one projecting element (2 16d).
