TECHNICAL FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention is placed in the technical field of the realization of coverings and / or surface coatings.

In particular, the present invention refers to the realization of coverings of surfaces such as floors, ceilings and external coverings, for example the realization of technical surfaces for sports activities such as athletics tracks, sports halls, gyms, densely frequented environments such as halls dance halls, airports, shopping centers etc ..

More particularly, the present invention relates to the realization of coverings and / or surface coatings which require frequent replacement or removal operations.

DESCRIPTION OF THE STATE OF THE ART

It is well known in the realization of tread surfaces, and in particular in the surface finishing in both outdoor and indoor sports facilities, such as athletic tracks, floors of gyms or sports halls, the use of covering materials arranged beyond above an underlying base usually consisting of a more or less smooth concrete or screed surface.

More generally in civil and / or industrial construction, the application of roofing elements in the form of a walkable layer 5, such as floors, or roofing elements for decorative reasons, such as tiles affixed to internal walls or exterior of a building.

These roofing elements can be of various types, such as ceramic tiles, wooden elements such as parquet or planks, plastic materials such as linoleum or materials including fibers such as carpet, which are applied to the base surface through suitable methods of gluing to the aim to make the most effective connection possible.

Thus, for example, in the case of laying tiles, a layer of cement is normally used, while in the laying of parquet, linoleum or carpet, a layer of an appropriate glue. In some cases, the cladding surfaces are subject to replacement interventions following supervening wear or to adapt the surface to different types of use, as occurs in particular in sports facilities where the floor is periodically replaced due to wear or more frequently is replaced. to prepare the surface for various sports activities. Thus, for example, the laying of a smooth parquet floor for a volleyball match and then the laying of a tartan or other type of flooring for a basketball match could be required after a short time. .

When replacing these surfaces due to wear, it is necessary to lift the surface layer to break the glue layer to detach it from the supporting surface, then remove the glue residues from the supporting surface and then glue the new replacement surface.

On the other hand, in the case of periodic replacement for the various sports activities mentioned above, it is preferable from time to time to place panels that bear the surface of interest above and then remove them at the end of the activity and replace them with other bearing panels suitable for the surface. subsequent activity.

These operations require particular attention to allow these panels to be laid side by side. Furthermore, it is necessary to have large spaces for storing the panels when not in use, as well as a considerable physical effort for their installation and removal. The main purpose of the present invention is therefore to solve these drawbacks.

In particular, an object of the present invention is to provide a surface coating system which allows faster laying operations than conventional coating systems.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a surface coating system which allows faster removal operations than conventional coating systems.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a coating system which allows to speed up the replacement operations of the coatings, in particular the floors of sports structures, with respect to known types of coating systems.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a coating system which allows to reduce the effort required by the operator for replacement operations, in particular when replacing floors in sports structures, with respect to known coating systems.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

The present invention is based on the general consideration of being able to simplify the operations of laying and removing surface coatings by using magnetic material.

According to a first embodiment, the present invention relates to a surface coating system according to claim 1, i.e. a surface coating system comprising a coating element applicable to said surface, said coating system comprising means for realizing a mutual magnetic adhesion force between said surface and said covering element.

Advantageously, the covering element is easily applicable to the surface by exploiting the magnetic adhesion force and easily removable without the need for invasive operations on the elements of the system.

Preferably, the coating system comprises magnetic material associated with one of said surface and said coating element and comprises magnetic or ferromagnetic material associated with the other between said surface and said coating element.

Preferably, the covering element comprises such magnetic material.

Even more preferably, the covering element comprises a first layer facing the surface and comprises one between the magnetic material and the ferromagnetic material, a second visible layer opposite the first layer and an intermediate layer comprising an adhesive substance.

Preferably, the first layer and the second layer comprise non-breathable materials.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THIS PRESENT

INVENTION.

Although the present invention is described below with reference to its embodiments represented in the drawing tables, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described below and represented in the drawings. On the contrary, the embodiments described and represented clarify some aspects of the present invention, the purpose of which is defined by the claims.

The present invention has proved to be particularly advantageous in systems for covering walkable floors, and even more particularly when applied for covering systems that require frequent removal or replacement for the most varied reasons, such as for example athletic tracks or floors of sports halls. However, it should be pointed out that the present invention is not limited to the coating of walkable surfaces. On the contrary, the present invention finds convenient application in all cases in which the coating of surfaces is required and therefore not only walkable, such as floors, but also of different types such as walls and ceilings or in those cases in which it is the covering of furnishing elements or the application of finishing and decoration elements or the application of sound-absorbing elements is required. Particularly convenient is the application to all cases in which frequent replacement of the covering part is necessary, as will also be evident in the description below.

Figure 1 shows a first possible application of a first preferred embodiment of the coating system 1 of the invention.

In particular, the cladding system 1 concerns the flooring of a room S with the laying of cladding elements 2 in the form of side-by-side strips.

The shape of these cladding elements 2 is not to be considered in any way limiting and, on the contrary, in variant embodiments such cladding elements may assume any other desired shape, such as for example in the form of tiling with substantially square or rectangular elements, or in shaped shapes and in different colors where a more or less decorative aesthetic aspect is required.

The coating system 1 therefore provides for a plurality of coating elements 2 resting on a base surface, indicated with 3 and better visible in fig. 2, in which a flap of a cladding member 2 is shown raised. The covering element 2, as we will see later in the description, is actually flexible and can be deformed or even advantageously rolled. However, in different embodiments, the covering element could be of the rigid type and therefore not deformable, as shown instead in figure 2.

The covering element 2, shown in particular in Figures 5 and 6, comprises a first layer 4 suitable for being placed in contact with the base surface 3, a second visible layer 5 and which constitutes the walkable part of the floor and an intermediate layer 6 of an adhesive substance.

We point out that the figures are only representative and the dimensions of the various layers represented are not to scale for reasons of clarity.

The first layer 4 of the covering element 2 is made up of a magnetic sheet and is therefore characterized by a certain strength of adhesion and a certain intrinsic magnetic traction. These parameters are proportional to the thickness of the sheet 4 itself and therefore the value of this thickness will be chosen each time according to the application and the desired adhesion. This magnetic sheet 4 in addition to possessing magnetic properties of adhesion and traction, is advantageously flexible and therefore easy to handle when an integral part of the covering element 2. Said magnetic sheet 4 in fact comprises a rubbery component and a ferritic component suitable for conferring such physical characteristic of flexibility as well as the aforementioned magnetic characteristics.

The second layer 5 of the covering element 2 constitutes the walkable part of the floor and is constituted, in the case described here, by a sheet of linoleum. This material is widely used in the construction of resilient floors, widely used in hospitals, schools and public places. In construction variants, sheets of other types of resilient material suitable for the purpose can be used, such as for example regenerated leather, leather, imitation leather, rubber, PVC, carpet, tartan, polyurethane resins, or other materials normally used for both rigid and flexible flooring. .

Said linoleum layer 5 is also advantageously flexible and therefore easy to handle when it is an integral part of the covering element 2.

The intermediate layer 6 of adhesive material which joins the first layer 4 and the second walkable layer 5 is preferably constituted by a polyurethane adhesive substance comprising a solvent, more particularly a solvent comprising water. More preferably, the solvent consists of water only.

In alternative variants, the adhesive substance could be of a different type, either comprising a solvent or solvent-free. For example, such adhesive substance could be constituted by an acrylic glue, by a vinyl glue or by a polyvinyl glue, these glues preferably comprising a solvent and more preferably this solvent is constituted by water.

The covering element 2 as a whole is flexible and rollable, above a minimum radius which is determined, in particular, by the physical characteristics of the magnetic sheet 4 and which include, among others, precisely a minimum bending radius. This flexibility allows the covering element 2 to be rolled up advantageously on itself, as we will see better below. The base surface 3, shown in particular in Figures 7 and 8, comprises a first layer 7 consisting of the floor screed, a second layer 8 of ferromagnetic material and an intermediate layer 9 of an adhesive substance.

We point out that also in this case the figures are only representative and the dimensions of the various layers represented are indicative and not necessarily to scale for reasons of clarity.

As far as the screed 7 is concerned, it is made up, as known, of a concrete layer which creates a surface sufficiently leveled to facilitate the laying of the overlying flooring,

The second layer 8 in ferromagnetic material is preferably constituted by a sheet of plastoferrite.

Said plastoferrite sheet 8, in addition to possessing ferromagnetic properties, is advantageously flexible and therefore easy to handle during its installation on the screed 7. Said plastoferrite sheet 8 in fact comprises a rubbery and a ferritic component suitable for conferring this physical characteristic of flexibility as well as its own ferromagnetic characteristics.

The intermediate layer 9 of adhesive material which joins the plastoferrite sheet 8 to the screed 7 is preferably constituted by a polyurethane adhesive substance comprising a solvent, more particularly a solvent comprising water. More preferably, the solvent consists of water only.

In alternative variants, the adhesive substance could be of a different type, either comprising a solvent or solvent-free. For example, such adhesive substance could be constituted by an acrylic glue, by a vinyl glue or by a polyvinyl glue, these glues preferably comprising a solvent and more preferably this solvent is constituted by water.

The system 1 described above allows the installation, removal and replacement of covering elements 2 to the base surface 3 in a very easy way.

In particular, once the base surface 3 and the cladding element 2 have been made, according to the methodology described below, the cladding operations simply require the cladding elements 2 to rest next to each other. above the base surface 3.

When the magnetic sheet 4 of the covering element 2 is placed in contact with the plastoferrite sheet 8 of the base surface 3, a magnetic adhesion force is created between the two parts. This adhesion force guarantees the adhesion of the cladding element 2 to the base surface 3 to counteract the stresses to which the cladding element 2 is subjected, typical of a floor and mainly caused by foot traffic, avoiding any movement of the covering element 2 with respect to the base surface 3, in particular along directions which lie substantially on the plane defined by the floor. The choice of thickness and surface extension of the magnetic sheet 4 is important to determine the required adhesion strength. The greater the thickness and surface extension of this magnetic sheet 4, the greater the adhesion strength will consequently be. designed and adapted to prevent reciprocal movements between the covering element 2 and the base surface 3 on the plane defined by the floor.

At the same time, if on the one hand mutual adhesion is guaranteed against foot traffic and other stresses to which the covering element 2 is subjected, on the other hand it is just as easy to remove the covering element 2 from the base surface 3. This removal will be effectively carried out by lifting a flap of the covering element 2, as shown for example in fig. 2, and pulling it upwards away from the base surface 3. More advantageously, the covering element is rolled up on itself and therefore easily transported for its disposal or for its storage for subsequent laying.

Similarly and advantageously also for the aforementioned installation of the covering element 2 it can be foreseen that it is advantageously in the form of a roll and that its application only provides for its unwinding over the base surface 3.

However, it is evident that whatever the shape envisaged for the covering element 2 is, its removal takes place easily by moving it away along a direction substantially perpendicular to the base surface 3 to which it adheres.

Figures 9 and 10 show a variant embodiment of a covering element 20 according to the present invention which differs from the covering element 2 previously described with reference to figures 5 and 6 in that instead of providing a magnetic sheet 4 of extension equal to the linoleum layer 5, it is envisaged the application to the linoleum layer 5, for example by gluing, of a plurality of permanent magnets 24 with high magnetic attraction and adhesion force, for example neodymium magnets.

The advantages that the coating element 20 allows to obtain are comparable to those of the first embodiment described above and in particular the adhesion force exerted by the permanent magnets 24 will be such as to prevent reciprocal movements between the base surface 3 and the ™ trim element 20.

In the embodiments described above, the adhesion force between the parts is obtained by means of a magnetized element associated with the covering element, namely the magnetic sheet 4 for the first embodiment and the permanent magnets 24 for the variant embodiment of the figures 9 and 10, and through a ferromagnetic element consisting of the plastoferrite associated with the base surface 3.

However, numerous variations may be envisaged.

It could be foreseen, for example, that instead of having a magnetized element and one consisting of a ferromagnetic material, as for example with reference to the first embodiment described above, both elements have magnetic characteristics exploiting the different polarity to obtain adhesion desired.

Furthermore, it can be envisaged that the covering element comprises a layer of ferromagnetic material, for example iron strips fixed to the visible layer, while the magnetized element is associated with the base surface.

Furthermore, the element in ferromagnetic material associated with the base surface could be constituted by a coating layer based on metallic paint,

Furthermore, the ferromagnetic material element associated with the base surface could be constituted by a metal structure, for example a lattice in the form of a cage, embedded in the concrete that constitutes the screed.

In the embodiments described above, the covering element is, as mentioned, advantageously flexible and conveniently roll-up. However, in construction variants it may be envisaged that the cladding element is of the rigid type, as could be the case of use for the cladding element of a ceramic tile rather than linoleum, or the use of marble or wooden elements such as parquet or planks.

In the embodiments described above, again, the base surface is constituted by the screed of a floor. However, in embodiment variants the base surface could be constituted by a base of an athletics track, or by the internal or external vertical walls of a building or even by a ceiling.

In particular, in the case of side walls, the application of the plastoferrite to the concrete base may require a preventive gluing of the plastoferrite to the surface of a support paper. The plastoferrite can then be applied to the side wall like wallpaper by gluing it to the concrete support wall. It has therefore been shown that the present invention makes it possible to achieve the intended purposes. In particular, it allows the creation of a surface coating system that allows faster laying and removal operations than conventional coating systems.

While the present has been described with reference to the particular embodiments depicted in the figures, it should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the particular embodiments depicted and described; on the contrary, further variants of the embodiments described fall within the scope of the present invention, the purpose defined by the claims.
