Description
DESCRIZIONE dell'invenzione industriale DESCRIPTION of the industrial invention
The present invention refers to a lighting fixture with a single light source (LED) that can be installed on the wall.
More particularly, the invention relates to a particular optic capable of making the best use of the emission of an LED light source in installation situations typical of safety and emergency lighting.
In particular, the luminaire is designed to optimally distribute light in escape routes, where, according to European legislation, 1 lux on the median line and 0.5 lux must be guaranteed in a central band equal to half the width of the escape routes (2 meters); moreover, the Italian legislation indicates an illuminance of at least 2 lux at 1 meter in height from the walking surface.
Correct lighting must ensure, in the field of vision, sufficiently high and rationally distributed luminances to allow the perception of important areas, as well as details, and reduce any form of glare to a minimum.
In particular, safety or emergency lighting devices must guarantee a sufficiently intense and concentrated luminous flux to allow easy and quick identification of the exit routes, even and above all in case of danger.
Luminance is defined as the ratio between the intensity of a light source in a given direction, and its apparent surface seen from the same direction; its value depends on the illuminance, the reflection characteristics of the surfaces and the directions of illumination and observation. Due to the dependence on the factors mentioned, luminance is extremely difficult to calculate so that, in practice, in the design of a lighting system, we usually always refer to illuminance.
The illuminance in a point of a surface is defined as the ratio between the luminous flux that affects an element of the surface around the point, and the area of the element itself; therefore, the illuminance can be easily predicted and measured (in lux, by means of a luxmeter or illuminometer), so it can be conveniently and simply used to tackle technical problems, such as that of the design of a lighting system.
The performance of a lighting device, in particular of an emergency lamp, is usually evaluated by imposing a given illuminance on a work or use surface, constituted, by convention, by a horizontal plane placed at a certain distance from the floor; when the light reaches this work surface directly from the light source (at least 90% of the luminous flux), it is said that there is direct lighting, while when, on the other hand, the light reaches the work surface after being reflected, even several times , from the walls and / or ceiling of the room (at least 90% of the luminous flux), it is said that there is indirect lighting.
Of course, intermediate cases are very frequent, in which the luminous flux reaches the work surface in direct and indirect percentages, which have intermediate values compared to those mentioned above.
Direct lighting fixtures are widely used for the artificial lighting of buildings for civil and industrial use, both as the main source of light and as an emergency or safety source. Such lighting apparatuses generally comprise a hollow body in which a light source, such as a fluorescent tube, can be housed, connecting it to terminals which allow its electrical supply; the body is closed by transparent protection screens, which can be disassembled to always allow access to the light source and terminals.
However, currently, the lighting devices, in particular the safety or emergency lighting devices, of the known type, have an uneven and substantially uneven distribution of illumination on the work surface, also in relation to the relative position assumed by a observer with respect to the light source; moreover, the illumination is relatively concentrated and not very intense, so it is not possible, in practice, to obtain an acceptable compromise between the intensity of the luminous flux and the concentration of the beam, important parameters in the event of an emergency situation. in civil and work environments and should have recourse to lighting them with replacement fluorescent lamps.
The purpose of the present invention, therefore, is to obviate the aforementioned drawbacks and, in particular, to design a lighting fixture that can be installed on the wall, which is suitable for optimally distributing the light in the escape routes, respecting the European regulations. in terms of illuminance in the various areas of the aforementioned escape routes.
Another object of the present invention is that of realizing a lighting device that can be installed on the wall, which allows to obtain, in any case, a desired distribution of illumination and a considerable efficiency of the optics. A further object of the present invention is to provide a lighting fixture that can be installed on the wall, which, in addition to boasting an important lighting engineering content, as indicated above, is also strongly characterized from an aesthetic point of view.
These and other purposes, according to the present invention, are achieved by realizing a lighting fixture that can be installed on the wall, according to the attached claim 1; further technical characteristics are contained in the subsequent dependent claims.
Advantageously, the lighting apparatus according to the invention has a single light source (preferably of the LED type), it can be installed only on the wall and is designed trying to make the most of the direct light of the source and the light reflected by the reflector, at the in order to obtain an ideal photometric solid, capable of satisfying the European regulations in terms of light distribution in escape routes.
In practice, this is an optic able to make the most of the emission of an LED light source in installation situations typical of safety or emergency lighting.
Ulteriori caratteristiche e vantaggi di un apparecchio di illuminazione installabile a parete, secondo la presente invenzione, risulteranno maggiormente evidenti dalla descrizione seguente di una forma realizzativa preferita, esemplificativa ma non limitativa, dell'apparecchio illuminante, riferita ai disegni schematici allegati, nei quali: la figura 1 è una vista in pianta dall'alto del riflettore impiegato nell'apparecchio di illuminazione installabile a parete, secondo la presente invenzione; Further characteristics and advantages of a lighting fixture that can be installed on a wall, according to the present invention, will become more evident from the following description of a preferred, exemplary but non-limiting embodiment of the lighting fixture, referring to the attached schematic drawings, in which: the Figure 1 is a top plan view of the reflector used in the wall-mountable lighting apparatus according to the present invention;

la figura 5 mostra schematicamente il profilo in pianta del riflettore di cui alle figure 1-3, impiegato nell'apparecchio di illuminazione installabile a parete, secondo l'invenzione; figure 5 schematically shows the plan profile of the reflector of figures 1-3, used in the lighting apparatus which can be installed on the wall, according to the invention;
la figura 6 mostra schematicamente il diagramma polare dell'apparecchio di illuminazione installabile a parete, secondo la presente invenzione ; Figure 6 schematically shows the polar diagram of the lighting apparatus which can be installed on the wall, according to the present invention;
Figures 7 and 8 schematically show the resulting photometric solid of the lighting apparatus which can be installed on the wall, according to the present invention.
With reference to the aforementioned figures, the lighting apparatus that can be installed on the wall, according to the present invention, uses, in particular, as a single light source, a power LED A, arranged centrally and in correspondence with a perimeter segment 10 of the shaped reflector 11 used in the lighting fixture (see in particular Figures 1-3).
The luminaire is used as a safety or emergency lighting device and is designed to optimally distribute the light in escape routes, where, according to European legislation, 1 lux on the median line and 0.5 lux must be guaranteed in a central strip equal to half (1 meter) of the width of the escape route (2 meters); this luminaire creates an ideal photometric solid by making the most of the direct light of the light source (LED) A and the light reflected by the reflector 11.
Since the safety luminaire can be wall-mounted and since the installation height is 2.5 meters and the distance from the wall P where the maximum illuminance value is desired is 1 meter (median line of the escape route), the light source A (LED) is oriented (line 12 in figure 4) to have a direct light beam with an angle a, with respect to the horizontal R, equal to 22 ° ± 10 ° (arctg ( 1 / 2.5)). At this angle, the maximum light contribution is obtained due to the direct light in the median line of the escape route.
Using a Lambertian source, the direct light will in any case be distributed in such a way as to illuminate the central strip of the escape route envisaged by the legislation (equal to half the width V of the escape route, as indicated in figure 4).
As regards the optimal management of the reflected light, the reflector 11 has been designed to direct the light beam emitted by the source A always in the central band of the escape route (equal to half the width V of the escape route), as required by European legislation. .
To this end, the maximum aperture of the reflected beam (delimited by the outermost rays 13 and 20 of figure 4) is optimized by designing the profile of the reflector 11 with the lines N and F having angles, respectively, β = 8 ° ± 10 ° and γ = 53 ° ± 10 °, with respect to the wall P and the horizontal lines R.
The remaining lines of the profile (indicated with B, C, D, E, G, H, I, L, M in figure 4) are optimized to direct the light homogeneously in the area comprised by the maximum beam opening (delimited by the rays 13 and 20).
The lines B, C, D, E of the profile, for example, have an inclination, with respect to the wall P, between 70 ° and 50 °, while the lines G, H, I, L, M have an inclination, with respect to wall P, between 5 ° and -25 °.
To distribute the light along the escape route, that is, to distribute the luminous flux so as to obtain a large illuminated surface in the direction of the length of the escape route, a broken line is used, as the profile of the reflector 11.
The broken line (shown in detail in figure 5) consists of vertical lines S (from a minimum number of 2 to an indefinite maximum number) joined by diagonal lines T, which join the vertical lines S, which have an inclination between -20 ° and 60 °, with respect to the base of the light source A. In practice, in order not to use a rectangular reflector (aesthetically not feasible), a geometry was designed by breaking the two vertical lines (indicated respectively with J and K in figure 5 ) of a rectangular reflector in different parts, distributing them as in figure 5.
The vertical lines S allow optimal distribution of the light emitted by the light source A, while the diagonal lines T, which join the vertical lines S, do not contribute to the distribution of light.
A lighting fixture that can be installed on the wall and that can be used, in particular, for safety or emergency lighting, and comprising a shaped reflector 11, as described above, ultimately allows to delineate an illuminated area, such as to convey the flux emitted by the light source A in a predetermined area (indicated by European regulations), such as to obtain the maximum illumination on the median line of each escape route, such as to limit the illumination in the central band equal to half the width of the exit route exodus (2 meters) and such as to have a wide opening in the direction of the length of the escape route.
In this way, the light emitted by the LED source A is directed where it is needed, without dispersing it in areas where there is no need to illuminate.
In practice it has been found that the lighting apparatus which can be installed on the wall, according to the present invention, is particularly advantageous as a safety or emergency lighting apparatus for the optimal distribution of light in the escape routes which it allows to obtain; moreover, the particular profile of the reflector 11 used in the lighting device allows to obtain an ideal photometric solid (shown in figures 7 and 8) and a polar diagram (figure 6), in order to satisfy the European standards in terms of illuminance obtained in the escape routes, making the most of the direct light of the LED light source A and the light reflected from the reflector walls 11.
Finally, it is clear that numerous other variants can be made to the wall-installable lighting fixture, which is the subject of the present invention, without thereby departing from the principles of novelty inherent in the inventive idea, just as it is clear that, in the practical implementation of the invention, the materials, shapes and dimensions of the illustrated details may be any according to the requirements and the same may be replaced with other technically equivalent ones.
