La presente invenzione riguarda una lampada a olio repellente, in cui il combustibile è liquido costituito da olio di Jatropha Curcas L..
Stato deN'arte
La Jatropha Curcas L, nota anche come physic nut, è un arbusto tropicale, appartenente alla famiglia delle Euphorbiaceae.
Di norma, è coltivata nei tropici in quanto preferisce il calore, può comunque, fiorire con temperature più fredde e, in certi casi, sopportare anche il gelo. Tali caratteristiche la rendono spesso protagonista in progetti di lotta alla desertificazione e all'erosione, infatti, si sviluppa quasi dovunque, anche sui terreni sabbiosi salini o su terreni pietrosi.
È una pianta robusta, tollerante alla siccità e ai parassiti e sgradevole per gli animali.
Dalla spremitura dei semi del frutto di Jatropha Curcas si ricava un'elevata percentuale di olio vegetale.

“Washington, novembre 2012 - Scoperto un composto repellente alla zanzara. La scoperta è stata effettuata da un team di scienziati dello Us Department of Agriculture. I ricercatori hanno identificato componenti insettorepellenti dell’olio di semi della pianta Jatropha curcas. Il team ha estratto i semi della pianta e ne ha analizzato i componenti. Risultato? Gli acidi grassi liberi e i trigliceridi si sono rivelati tra i composti attivi efficaci nell’allontanare le zanzare e prevenirle dal mordere le persone e attaccare le piante. Si tratta della prima dimostrazione delle proprietà mosquito-repellenti dei trigliceridi. Lo studio è stato coordinato dai ricercatori della Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Naturai Products Utilization Research Unit (NPURU) di Oxford, Mississipi, e pubblicato sul sito www.usda.aov.”
AU2012392861 A1 descrive un metodo di preparazione di un solvente pesticida e un’applicazione dello stesso solvente pesticida a base di Jatropha Curcas L
Tuttavia nessuno ha utilizzato l’olio di semi di Jatropha curcas bruciandolo in lampade per tenere lontani dalle case gli insetti.
Sommario dell’invenzione
Alla luce di quanto letto, scopo della presente invenzione è di realizzare una lampada a olio repellente, in cui il combustibile sia liquido costituito da olio di Jatropha Curcas L..
L’olio è stato ottenuto tramite spremitura meccanica, ottenendo, dopo varie sperimentazioni, un protocollo di estrazione innovativo. Nella fattispecie, l’olio è stato estratto spremendo i semi sgusciati di Jatropha curcas a 110°C, con una velocità della vite senza fine pari a 3.
Dalla spremitura, tuttavia, si ottiene un olio grezzo e, per questo motivo, sono necessari step di pretrattamento. Il primo step prevede la separazione dell’olio dai fanghi per decantazione, all’interno di un decanter verticale a gravità, nel quale l’olio arriva sospinto da un pompa ad aspirazione temporizzata, e qui rimane per ameno 100 ore. Successivamente, l’olio è aspirato da una seconda pompa, di più piccole dimensioni, per essere filtrato su filtri in carta pressata. Alla fine di tale operazioni, l’olio è stoccato in una cisterna di acciaio inox.
Le analisi cui è stato sottoposto l’olio ne forniscono la composizione. In tabella sono riportati ì FAME, esteri metilici degli acidi grassi, responsabili delle proprietà repellenti, ottenuti per analisi gascromatografica.

Forma di realizzazione preferita dell’invenzione
La presente invenzione è costituita da una lampada ad olio la cui forma preferita è un’ampolla, preferibilmente ma non esclusivamente in terracotta, decorata con il disegno di una foglia di Jatropha curcas.
L’ampolla è riempita di olio di Jatropha Curcas L. ed in esso pesca uno stoppino in materiale naturale preferibilmente, ma non esclusivamente in cotone e fibra di vetro.
L’olio di Jatropha Curcas L. durante la combustione tiene lontani gli insetti, si ottiene cioè un’azione repellente per la presenza di FAME, esteri metilici degli acidi grassi, responsabili appunto delle proprietà repellenti.
La lampada così realizzata è facile da usare e da rifornire di combustibile, costituito dall’olio di Jatropha Curcas L., quando esso è esaurito.
Il trovato, bene inteso, non si limita alla descrizione rappresentata ma può ricevere perfezionamenti e modifiche daH'uomo del mestiere senza uscire per altro dal quadro del brevetto.
La presente invenzione consente numerosi vantaggi e di superare difficoltà che non potevano essere vinte con i sistemi attualmente in commercio.

- RIVENDICAZIONI 1. Lampada ad olio repellente comprendente un contenitore per l’olio a forma di ampolla e uno stoppino che pesca nell'olio contenuto neN’ampolla caratterizzata dal fatto che l’olio contenuto neH’ampolla è olio di Jatropha Curcas L.
- 2. Lampada ad olio repellente secondo la rivendicazione 1 caratterizzata dal fatto che l'ampolla è in terracotta.
- 3. Lampada ad olio repellente secondo la rivendicazione 2 caratterizzata dal fatto che l'ampolla di terracotta è decorata con un disegno di una foglia di Jatropha curcas
- 4. Lampada ad olio repellente secondo la rivendicazione 1 caratterizzata dal fatto che lo stoppino è in materiale naturale.
- 5. Lampada ad olio repellente secondo la rivendicazione 4 caratterizzata dal fatto che lo stoppino è realizzato in cotone e fibra di vetro.
