La presente invenzione si riferisce in generale agli zerbini ed alla loro fabbricazione. The present invention relates in general to doormats and their manufacture.

Tradizionalmente, questi manufatti sono realizzati intrecciando fibre vegetali fra loro, oppure con un filato sintetico intessuto su un supporto di base, oppure con composti di gomma o materie plastiche (PVC etc.) stampati termicamente. Grazie a questa idea di soluzione, lo zerbino secondo l'invenzione é in grado di garantire nel tempo caratteristiche di ottima resilienza e resistenza all'abrasione. L'anima di irrigidimento formata dal monofilo di nylon assicura inoltre un pronto ritorno elastico delle zone di calpestio dello zerbino, riducendo cosi la formazione di impronte antiestetiche. Inoltre la miscelazione di due fibre con cariche elettrostatiche opposte, positiva per il nylon e negativa per il polipropilene, conferiscono allo zerbino secondo l'invenzione una caratteristica antistatica permanente.
