Descrizione dell’Invenzione Industriale avente per titolo: Description of the Industrial Invention entitled:
“PROCEDIMENTO DI PROGETTAZIONE E PRODUZIONE DI MONTATURE DI OCCHIALI” "PROCESS FOR THE DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF GLASSES FRAMES"
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a process for the design and production of eyeglass frames.
As is known, choosing the right eyewear, in terms of shapes and proportions, is a very difficult decision to make. It is not easy, in fact, to find the frame that best suits the characteristics of each person's face. Manufacturers are therefore obliged to supply ever wider ranges of products on the market to offer consumers the most varied shapes that can adapt well to the many different types of face. This great choice, however, has several negative implications, as manufacturers have to bear huge costs to produce wide ranges of products while for the consumer, choosing the right eyewear from all the frames proposed can be difficult.
Therefore, the object of the present invention is to solve the aforesaid problems of the prior art by providing a process for the design and production of eyeglass frames that allows to obtain and produce in a simple, fast and economical way a great variety of shapes of eyeglass frames sized in optimal way according to the face of the buyer.
Furthermore, an object of the present invention is to provide a process for the design and production of eyeglass frames which allows the design of collections which, designed on known proportions of beauty, are suitable for large types of people.
The aforementioned and other purposes and advantages of the invention, which will emerge from the following description, are achieved with a process for the design and production of eyeglass frames such as the one described in claim 1.
Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variants of the present invention form the subject of the dependent claims.
It is understood that all the attached claims form an integral part of the present description.
It will be immediately obvious that innumerable variations and modifications (for example relating to shape, dimensions, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) can be made to what has been described without departing from the scope of the invention as appears from the attached claims.
The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments, provided by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the attached drawings, in which Figures 1 to 34 show screens of an application implementing the steps of a preferred embodiment of the process. according to the present invention.
With reference to the Figures, it can be noted that the process for designing and manufacturing eyeglass frames according to the claim comprises the steps of:
a) definire se progettare un modello matematico dimensionale, inteso notoriamente nel campo tecnico della modellazione e della simulazione come la rappresentazione della forma di un modello fisico mediante una o più equazioni generanti una rappresentazione grafica bidimensionale o tridimensionale della forma di tale modello, della forma di dati geometrici e dimensionali di almeno una montatura di occhiale sulla base di un volto di riferimento o sulla base di punti noti derivanti da proporzioni medie dei volti o da “maschere di bellezza” note; a) define whether to design a dimensional mathematical model, notoriously understood in the technical field of modeling and simulation as the representation of the shape of a physical model by means of one or more equations generating a two-dimensional or three-dimensional graphic representation of the shape of this model, of the shape of geometric and dimensional data of at least one frame of glasses on the basis of a reference face or on the basis of known points deriving from average proportions of the faces or from known "beauty masks";
b) definire dei parametri attraverso i quali si ottengono, tali delle variabili essendo atte ad essere inserite in delle funzioni matematiche generatrici che, come noto in matematica, sono generalmente delle serie formali di potenze i cui coefficienti costituiscono i componenti andi una successione indicizzata da numeri naturali: ovviamente, tali parametri e tali variabili sono facilmente definiti e valorizzati dall’esperto della tecnica in funzione della o delle funzioni matematiche generatrici più opportune prescelte. In generale, così come si vedrà in seguito con maggiore dettaglio, in questa fase i dati geometrici del volto acquisiti nella fase precedente sono elaborati attraverso la relazione con parametri noti di proporzioni auree e di matematiche definite di riscontro della bellezza del volto per generare funzioni e variabili matematiche che andranno a definire matematicamente la forma della montatura dell’occhiale; b) define parameters through which they are obtained, such variables being able to be inserted in generating mathematical functions which, as known in mathematics, are generally formal series of powers whose coefficients constitute the components and a sequence indexed by numbers natural: obviously, these parameters and variables are easily defined and valued by the expert of the technique according to the most suitable generating mathematical function or functions selected. In general, as will be seen in greater detail below, in this phase the geometric data of the face acquired in the previous phase are processed through the relationship with known parameters of golden proportions and defined mathematics for checking the beauty of the face to generate functions and mathematical variables that will mathematically define the shape of the eyewear frame;
c) definire dei vincoli dimensionali funzionali della montatura dell’occhiale, in modo da definire tali parametri di generazione in modo coerente, tali vincoli essendo ben noti nel settore dell’ottica e comprendenti per esempio l’ingombro del naso, la distanza fra gli occhi, ecc…, e rilevare e fornire automaticamente o manualmente da parte di un utente dei valori dimensionali per tali vincoli; c) define functional dimensional constraints of the eyewear frame, in order to define these generation parameters in a coherent way, such constraints being well known in the optics sector and including for example the size of the nose, the distance between the eyes , etc ..., and automatically or manually detect and provide the dimensional values for these constraints by a user;
d) fornire automaticamente o manualmente da parte di un utente una o più funzioni matematiche di riferimento basate sui parametri definiti nella precedente fase b); d) automatically or manually supply by a user one or more mathematical reference functions based on the parameters defined in the previous phase b);
e) definire automaticamente o manualmente da parte di un utente tale modello matematico di tale montatura di occhiale in funzione di tale una o più funzioni matematiche di riferimento e generare il disegno della forma della montatura di tale occhiale in funzione di tale modello matematico: ovviamente esistono infinite funzioni matematiche che generano differenti disegni della montatura della montatura dell’occhiale. e) automatically or manually define by a user this mathematical model of said eyeglass frame as a function of such one or more mathematical functions of reference and generate the design of the shape of the frame of said eyewear as a function of this mathematical model: obviously there are infinite mathematical functions that generate different designs of the frame of the eyewear frame.
Obviously, the mathematical model obtained can be modified by varying the parameters thus generating infinite aesthetic solutions sharing the same mathematical definition that determines the formal design.
The method according to the present invention can further comprise the step of sending this mathematical model in terms of constructive information to at least one automatic production system of this eyeglass frame. Once the mathematical model of the desired shape has been defined, it is possible to process the final mathematics to be sent automatically, for example, to the numerical control machine or laser cutting or chemical cutting or other process for the realization of the eyewear frame and, always automatically have the path to be entered in the program of a machine tool to make the lens cut.
In particular, if in step a) it was defined to design a dimensional mathematical model of at least one such frame of glasses on the basis of a reference face, the process according to the present invention comprises the sub-phase of providing at least one image of a face for who design the dimensional mathematical model of at least one such frame of glasses: in particular, this phase involves the visual acquisition of the geometric data of the face, for example through manual survey, scanner, photographs and these data are the initial inputs for the setting of the mathematical generation of the eyeglass frame and can provide for providing at least one photo 1 (as, for example, shown in FIG. 1) of a face which will serve as a reference for the construction of the mathematical model of the frame itself.
In particolare, la fase b) comprende le sottofasi di: In particular, phase b) includes the sub-phases of:
b1) sovrapporre (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 2) alla foto 1 almeno un sistema di riferimento di bellezza 3 come, per esempio, la maschera di bellezza di Stephen R. Marquard o ad altri sistemi di riferimento di bellezza: ovviamente è possibile anche procedere direttamente sulla foto senza riferimenti particolari; e/o b2) eventualmente sovrapporre (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 3) alla foto 1 dei punti di controllo 5 ed almeno un asse di simmetria 7 di tale volto. b1) superimpose (as, for example, shown in FIG. 2) on photo 1 at least one beauty reference system 3 such as, for example, Stephen R. Marquard's beauty mask or other beauty reference systems: obviously it is also possible to proceed directly on the photo without particular references; and / or b2) optionally superimpose (as, for example, shown in FIG. 3) on photo 1 of the control points 5 and at least one axis of symmetry 7 of this face.
In particolare, la fase d) comprende le sottofasi di: In particular, phase d) includes the sub-phases of:
d1) fornire (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. d1) provide (as, for example, shown in FIG.
4) almeno una funzione matematica di riferimento 9 come, per esempio, una voronoi 2D; 4) at least one reference mathematical function 9 such as, for example, a 2D voronoi;
d2) collegare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 5) tali punti di controllo 5 ad uno o più insiemi funzionali 11 definenti i vincoli dimensionali funzionali della montatura dell’occhiale e relazionare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 6) 13 tali insiemi 11 di punti di controllo 5 alla funzione matematica di riferimento 9: per esempio, i punti di controllo 5 possono essere collegati agli insiemi funzionali 11 come segue: d2) connect (as, for example, shown in FIG. 5) such control points 5 to one or more functional sets 11 defining the functional dimensional constraints of the eyewear frame and relate (as, for example, shown in FIG. 6 ) 13 such sets 11 of control points 5 to the mathematical reference function 9: for example, the control points 5 can be linked to functional sets 11 as follows:
- insieme denominato “point set” definente i punti che determinano la suddivisione dello spazio definito dai punti dell’insieme denominato “boundary”; - set called "point set" defining the points that determine the subdivision of the space defined by the points of the set called "boundary";
- set called "axis point" defining the construction points of the "bridge" of union between the two lenses of the eyewear frame.
Di conseguenza, per esempio, la fase e) potrebbe comprendere le sottofasi di: Some exemplary phases for the realization of the mathematical model illustrated in the Figures will be illustrated below, but it is quite clear that other phases could be implemented for the realization of a different mathematical model without departing from the scope of protection of the present invention. Consequently, for example, phase e) could include the sub-phases of:
e1) dall’elaborazione degli insiemi di punti ottenuta attraverso la funzione di voronoi, si può scegliere di mantenere solo le polilinee 15 (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 7) denominate “crv”; e1) from the processing of the sets of points obtained through the voronoi function, you can choose to keep only the polylines 15 (as, for example, shown in FIG. 7) called "crv";
e2) per poter lavorare su ogni singola polilinea si può separare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 8) l’insieme di curve 15 “crv” in una pluralità di distinte polilinee 17 (definiti “item” 0, 1, 2,...,7); e2) in order to work on each single polyline, the set of curves 15 "crv" can be separated (as, for example, shown in FIG. 8) into a plurality of distinct polylines 17 (defined "items" 0, 1, 2 , ..., 7);
e3) selezionare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 9) solo le polilinee di interesse come, per esempio le polilinee denominate “item” 0 e 3 che corrispondono all’insieme polilenea “lente” 0 e all’insieme polilinea “ponte” 3; e3) select (as, for example, shown in FIG. 9) only the polylines of interest such as, for example, the polylines called "items" 0 and 3 which correspond to the "lens" polyline set 0 and the "bridge" polyline set "3;
e4) lavorare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 10) sull’insieme polilinea 0 definita “lente” che determina il disegno esterno della semimontatura della montatura dell’occhiale; e5) per definire il profilo da dare alla lente è possibile applicare differenti processi: per esempio si può scegliere di disegnare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 11) il profilo della lente con una polilinea 19 equidistante da quella generata dalla funzione voronoi definita “lente” 0. La polilinea equidistante è realizzata attraverso il processo definito “offset”. È inoltre possibile prevedere che la distanza tra le due linee possa essere modificabile attraverso: per esempio, la FIG. 12 mostra un esempio di variazione della distanza tra le due linee rispetto a quanto mostrato nella FIG. 11; e4) work (as, for example, shown in FIG. 10) on the set polyline 0 defined "lens" which determines the external design of the half frame of the eyewear frame; e5) to define the profile to be given to the lens it is possible to apply different processes: for example, you can choose to draw (as, for example, shown in FIG. 11) the profile of the lens with a polyline 19 equidistant from that generated by the voronoi function defined as “lens” 0. The equidistant polyline is made through the process called “offset”. It is also possible to provide that the distance between the two lines can be modifiable through: for example, FIG. 12 shows an example of variation of the distance between the two lines with respect to what is shown in FIG. 11;
e6) per ragioni di producibilità industriale della lente è possibile scegliere di raggiare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 13) attraverso per esempio un processo denominato “fillet” 21 la polilinea derivata dal processo di “offset” ed eventualmente per regolare il valore di raggiatura; e7) mettere in relazione 23 (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 14) la polilinea “lente 0” con la polilinea 19 ad essa equidistante e raggiata; e8) generare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 15) una superficie 25 compresa tra la polilinea “lente 0” e la polilinea 19 ad essa equidistante e raggiata creando una prima metà 29 della montatura dell’occhiale definita dal modello matematico; e6) for reasons of industrial producibility of the lens it is possible to choose to radiate (as, for example, shown in FIG. 13) through a process called "fillet" 21, for example, the polyline derived from the "offset" process and possibly to adjust the radius value; e7) relating 23 (as, for example, shown in FIG. 14) the "lens 0" polyline with the polyline 19 equidistant and radiated thereto; e8) generate (as, for example, shown in FIG. 15) a surface 25 between the "lens 0" polyline and the polyline 19 equidistant and radiated to it, creating a first half 29 of the eyewear frame defined by the mathematical model;
e9) specchiare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 16) prima metà 29 rispetto all’asse di simmetria 7 creando l’altra metà 31 della montatura; e9) mirror (as, for example, shown in FIG. 16) the first half 29 with respect to the axis of symmetry 7 creating the other half 31 of the frame;
e10) disegnare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 17) il ponte di collegamento 33 tra le due metà 29, 31 e generarne la superficie. and 10) drawing (as, for example, shown in FIG. 17) the connecting bridge 33 between the two halves 29, 31 and generating its surface.
At this point a basic mathematical model such as the one having the graphical representation shown in FIG. 20 with the numerical reference 35, an example of the eyewear is built: subsequent variants of this can be generated simply by moving the initial 5 control points. For example, as shown in FIG. 18, it is possible to proportion the frame of the glasses on the underlying face with extreme ease by moving the control points indicated with 3 to the left, automatically modifying the entire frame itself. As instead shown in FIG. 19, by moving the indicated control point 2 towards the bottom, another variant is obtained: obviously, by proceeding in the same way it is possible to obtain infinite different aesthetics of the eyewear frame.
Once the basic mathematics of the graphical representation 35 of FIG. 20 I can replace the reference face and draw the frame of the glasses directly on it. By applying this modeling logic, it is possible to use the frame as an aesthetic correction tool for the proportion of the face. For example, in FIG. 21 the control points indicated as 5 have been moved to the right, in FIG. 22 the control points indicated as 4 have been moved downward and in FIG. 23 the control points indicated as 2 have been moved to the right.
It is clear that infinite variants belong to each defined mathematical basis and are defined by moving the control points.
The basic mathematics can in turn be infinite defined by multiple parameters such as, for example, the control function (in this case the voronoi) and within a chosen function it is possible to decline other basic mathematics. For example, in the previous phase e4) we have chosen to work on the polyline defined as “lens” and to define the simple equidistance between the internal and external lines as the frame design.
In alternativa è possibile procedere come segue: Alternatively, you can proceed as follows:
- estrarre (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 24) i punti di controllo 37 dalla polilinea “lente”; - extracting (as, for example, shown in FIG. 24) the control points 37 from the "lens" polyline;
- generare (come, per esempio, mostrato nella FIG. 25) una curva passante 39 per quei punti 37 che definisce il profilo esterno della semimontatura; - generating (as, for example, shown in FIG. 25) a passing curve 39 for those points 37 which defines the external profile of the half-frame;
- from the same points 37 to generate (as, for example, shown in FIG. 26) a bezier curve 41 which defines the profile of the lens: possibly defining the voltage of the curve; henceforth it is possible to implement the same steps from e7) onwards described above to obtain what is illustrated in FIG. 27.
Per esempio: Also in this case it is possible to generate infinite variations simply by moving the control points. For instance:
- la FIG. 28 mostra il risultato dello spostamento dei punti di controllo indicati con 3 verso destra; - FIG. 28 shows the result of moving the control points indicated with 3 to the right;
- la FIG. 29 mostra il risultato dello spostamento dei punti di controllo indicati con 5 verso destra; - FIG. 29 shows the result of moving the control points indicated with 5 to the right;
- FIG. 30 shows the result of moving the control points indicated with 6 upwards.
Per esempio: Again it is possible to generate infinite shapes proportionate to the face that is going to be submitted. For instance:
- la FIG. 31 mostra il risultato dello spostamento dei punti di controllo indicati con 1 verso sinistra; - FIG. 31 shows the result of moving the control points indicated with 1 to the left;
- la FIG. 32 mostra il risultato dello spostamento dei punti di controllo indicati con 5 verso destra; - FIG. 32 shows the result of moving the control points indicated with 5 to the right;
- la FIG. 33 mostra il risultato dello spostamento dei punti di controllo indicati con 2 verso sinistra; - FIG. 33 shows the result of moving the control points indicated with 2 to the left;
- FIG. 34 shows the result of the voltage variation of the bezier curve.
The process according to the present invention therefore allows both to design proportional eyeglass frames on the face of the buyer and to design eyeglass frames which, even if not drawn on the single face, are in any case proportionate (on the basis of beauty masks) on a vast range of users.
It is quite clear that the present invention also relates to a computer program comprising computer program code means adapted to carry out all or part of the steps of the process indicated above when such program is executed on a computer.
Some preferred forms of implementation of the invention have been described, but of course they are susceptible to further modifications and variations within the same inventive idea. In particular, numerous variants and modifications, functionally equivalent to the preceding ones, which fall within the scope of the invention will be immediately apparent to those skilled in the art, as highlighted in the attached claims.
