Chair according to claim 1, characterized in that said S-shaped portion (46) has two arcuate portions (48) joined together by a rectilinear portion (50), said arcuate portions (48) defining respective seats (52 ), in which in the open position the ends of said C-shaped portion (54) of the second leg (20, 24; 62, 66) extend through said seats (52) and said C-shaped portion (54) extends over said straight section (50).

3. Chair according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that said legs (18, 20, 22, 24; 60, 62, 64, 66) are formed by bent metal bars and said S-shaped portions (46 ) and C-shaped (54) of said joints (42, 44) are integrally formed with the respective legs by folding.

4. Chair according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a pair of front legs (18, 20) interconnected by means of a front joint (42) and a pair of rear legs (22, 24) interconnected by means of a rear joint (44).

5. Chair according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it comprises a pair of left legs (60, 62) interconnected by means of a left joint (42) and a pair of right legs (64, 66) interconnected between them by means of a right joint (44).
