L’idea parte dalla motosega manuale a catena che non permette un utilizzo in sicurezza oltre una certa altezza, ovvero l’uso dell’utensile da parte dell’operatore stando ben appoggiato con i piedi per terra, a meno di non ricorrere a scale o a bracci meccanici con cestello porta persone.
