Le matrici calcografiche conservate da istituto Nazionale per la Grafica (ING) sono opere sottoposte a tutela ai sensi del Codice dei Beni Culturali del 2004 e quali beni culturali non vengono più utilizzate per essere stampate se non per motivi di studio e/o documentazione.
