Il contenitore 1, ad es. a forma di provetta come in figura, presenta un attacco filettato 2 munito di filettatura 3 che coopera con una corrispondente filettatura (non visibile) sul tappo del contagocce 5. Ovviamente, in luogo di una filettatura si potrebbe prevedere un attacco a baionetta, un attacco a clip, a incastro, ecc. L’attacco 2 filettato è inserito a pressione ossia a interferenza, tramite la sua parte inferiore, nella provetta 1 di vetro o simili. Ovviamente è preferibile che la provetta o contenitore 1 sia di vetro o di altro materiale trasparente, ma eventualmente si potrà anche utilizzare un materiale traslucido o addirittura opaco. Preferibilmente, l’attacco 2 così come il tappo del contagocce 5 sono in materiale plastico. Il contagocce potrà essere realizzato in varie forme. Lo stelo (cavo) in vetro del contagocce avrà una punta (estremità libera) opportunamente sagomata mentre la sua estremità opposta è inserita nel tappo del contagocce rendendo la giunzione stagna per evitare perdite di urina verso l’esterno. Inoltre, ovviamente, l’attacco 2 presenta un’apertura per l’introduzione del contagocce 5. Preferibilmente, la sezione libera di tale apertura è assai ridotta in virtù della presenza di - ad esempio - una pluralità di linguette 4, radiali ed inclinate verso il basso, solidali ad un’estremità alla parte anulare principale dell’attacco 2. Dalla Fig. 1 si nota che le estremità libere delle alette 4 delimitano un foro sostanzialmente circolare per il passaggio dello stelo cavo del contagocce 5. Detto foro sostanzialmente circolare è centrato rispetto all’asse geometrico della provetta 1, ma durante l’introduzione del contagocce 5 le alette 4 fletteranno leggermente fungendo da invito e centratura del contagocce. Invece, durante il prelievo delle gocce di urina, le alette 4 eserciteranno una funzione di raschiatura per ripulire la parete esterna dello stelo del contagocce 5 evitando contaminazioni in fase di travaso. Le alette 4 esercitano un’azione di precarico elastico contro la parete esterna dello stelo cavo del contagocce 5, per poter raschiare a fondo durante l’estrazione del contagocce 5 dal contenitore o provetta 1.
