SERIES OF MOBILE CUBES SUITABLE FOR COMPOSING A CHRISTIAN CROSS, WITH VARIABLE CONFIGURATION SYMBOLS, SUITABLE TO SUPPORT A PATH OF PRAYER OF THE VIA CRUCIS TYPE.

In recent decades there have been many transformations and variations in the processes of prayer in the religious sphere. The Via Crucis, or way of the cross, was born from the desire of Christians to spiritually walk the way made by Jesus from the Praetorium to the Holy Sepulcher. Today, a modern method of the Via Crucis, conceived by Father Silvano Alfieri, developed by accompanying pilgrims to the mount of the cross in Medjugorje, is gaining ground.

The method underlying this via crucis is based on the conviction of the resurrection of Jesus, where each believer makes his own personal via crucis at the school of Jesus Christ. To support the method, an instrument is used, in the shape of a Christian cross, (Cross of Mercy) which, however, fails to exploit all the potential of the method itself.

With this invention, designed precisely to make the most of the new method, we intend to eliminate the limitations imposed by the current tool, improving the possibilities of helping the faithful to understand the Christian way of dealing with suffering.

The present invention consists in the composition of a Christian cross by means of cubes, having imprinted on the faces with different images, which can be oriented according to the station of the prayer path.

The composition, object of the present invention, consists of three independent components:

- the base, in the shape of a cross, with the image of Merciful Jesus, suitable for containing a series of five cubes for the configuration of the cross itself (TABLE 1 ref. 1);

- the series of five cubes, on the faces of which are imprinted the images to be highlighted during the prayer journey: the nail, the flame, the sun (TABLE 1 ref. 2);

- the lid, also in the shape of a cross, which protects the cubes when the object is not used (TABLE 3 ref. 3).

OPERATION

Part I. We start with the configuration in which the cubes show the face

without symbol (TABLE 2 ref. 1). In the first five stations of the cross,

the cubes of the Cross are brought one after the other, in the position that makes it

the nail symbol is visible (TABLE 2 ref. 2), which adequately explained,

it becomes the representation of the discomfort, pain or suffering that the person has

is facing on that day. At the end of the first five stations all

ref. 5). At the end of this second part some general considerations

on the virtues, which increase the effectiveness of the path you are taking.

Part III. The way of the cross as Jesus faced it led him to

resurrection and has produced benefits for many (the method underlying this

via crucis is based on the conviction of the resurrection of Jesus). If we

we face suffering in the way of Jesus we have a benefit

personal, but not only, the fruit of this passed test also extends

to people who are close to us and to many other people. The last three

stations serve, therefore, to define and understand the benefit that occurs

in us and in others. Therefore to each of these last three stations, in the Cross

you will extract a cube that was positioned on the flame symbol and you will

will reposition on the sun symbol (TAVLA 2 ref. 6). The image of the sun,

properly explained it will become the symbol of the real benefit that one is

obtained for themselves, for the people close to us and for many, thanks

having faced their suffering in the way of Jesus and with Him.

The present invention will be further clarified below by the description of a practical embodiment to be used in the via crucis where the above method is applied.

Description given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the attached drawings, in which TABLE 1 is a schematic drawing showing the evolution of the configuration of the cross: the empty base (TABLE 1 ref. 1), the cube TABLE 2 ref. . 2), the base filled with the five cubes (TABLE 3 ref. 3).

TABLE 2 shows the evolution of the configurations during the way of the cross: from the initial configuration with the cubes that all show the face without image (TABLE 2 ref. 1), to the final configuration with the cubes that show the sun and the flame (TABLE 2 ref. 6).

TABLE 3 contains the construction drawings of the three elements of the cross with the dimensions in millimeters:

- The design of the cross-shaped base, made of wood, (TABLE 3 ref.

1), where in the central area the image of Merciful Jesus is glued, with the alveoli for the insertion of the cubes,

- The design of the cube, made of wood, (TABLE 3 ref. 2), where, on three of the six faces, the self-adhesive images of the sun, the flame and the nail are glued. This element is to be made in five copies;

- The design of the lid, made of wood (TABLE 3 ref. 3), for the custody of the cubes, in order to avoid their loss when the cross is not in use.

Claims (6)

CLAIMS 1. series of five movable cubes arranged on a base, in the shape of a Christian cross, which can be oriented to form a cross with various figures, of the type described with reference to the attached tables 1, 2 and 3, being on the faces of each cube impressed images of a nail, a flame and the sun. 2. Series of cubes according to claim 1 characterized by having images, of any nature, possibly imprinted on all six faces of the cubes themselves. 3. Series of cubes according to claim 1 made with materials other than wood; by way of example but not limited to, plastic or metal. 4. A series of cubes according to claim 1 but of larger or smaller dimensions. 5. Series of cubes according to claim 1, made of ferromagnetic materials, to be applied on the cross base with the bottom made of magnetic material, with the possibility of eliminating the lid. 6. A series of cubes according to claim 1, but in a number different from five, to make other tools that may also be applicable to other prayer paths.
