SUMMARY

This is a syringe for medical use which, through a retractable case with guided movement, prevents the occurrence of accidental punctures and the leakage of residual liquids.

The case is also equipped with a pierceable sealing cap which, in addition to maintaining the sterility of the needle, collects and retains any organic materials present on the needle itself.

The sanitary article in question is able to solve the problem of contact with organic materials during the execution of maneuvers involving the use of syringes. Therefore, interpersonal transmissions of infectious agents and the environmental dissemination of biological materials are avoided.

This article consists of:

- a real syringe, i.e. needle, graduated container barrel and plunger, with standard characteristics, i.e. identical to those of the various models currently in use, except for the presence on the barrel (D) of a series of small toroidal protrusions (L ) designed to prevent unintentional or accidental sliding and any wobbling of the retractable housing (B).

- A retractable case (B), shaped so as to adhere to the shape of the syringe respecting its ergonomic, aesthetic, dimensional and construction material characteristics.

On its internal surface there are two toroidal projections, one upper (H) and one lower (I), which guide the sliding and keep the retractable case locked in the safety or use position, meshing with the series of projections (L).

The upper case also has a calibrated hole (M) through which the needle comes out when the syringe is placed in the position of use.

The case is equipped with an elliptical gripping ring that allows the operator to slide it: this causes the needle to come out first, and then to cover it again, keeping the fingers away from the sharp part during each maneuver.

The closing movement of the case is also directed from the base towards the tip of the needle so that, even in the event of carelessness by the operator, accidental injury is not possible.

Both in the use and in the protective position, the case has a limit switch system that prevents it from unintentionally slipping out of the barrel.

- A shaped plug (A) in pierceable rubber. The rubber used has intrinsic characteristics such as to allow the spontaneous obliteration of the hole caused by the passage of the needle when it returns to the case.

On the outside it has an ampullary cavity (PART.1) suitable for cleaning the needle and for capturing and detaining any residual biological materials on it.
