DESCRIPTION

The subject of this Patent for Industrial Utility Model is a simple but complete system of construction with elements, in cardboard that can be folded into boxes and modular with the different elements, such as to create a complete house in the various construction details such as walls, roof, connection curbs, doors, fireplaces, arches and anything else you want and in the desired global dimensions.

This construction system is aimed at two types of users very different from each other and clearly motivated by equally different interests.

In fact, this system, consisting of a considerable series of elements that can be connected together, can be used in the creation of shop windows or exhibitions, easily set up in the desired shapes and sizes, or it can be used in the development of creativity in children aged up to 5/6. years, towards the construction of houses of different shapes and In older children for the more complicated assembly of arches, portals and roofs and in any case to develop the constructive imagination.

At present, there are countless modular construction systems, now established and widespread and intended in particular for the practical development of imagination in children, such as the well-known colored plastic bricks, equipped with snap buttons, which allow the construction of more or less buildings. less small, of aircraft, of imaginative mechanisms in general and infinite other equipment.

On the market, however, numerous systems with wooden and metal blocks can be found, but nothing that in practice resembles the object of this Patent for Industrial Utility Model since, there, the various elements are in practice "pre-printed and pre-cut. "and therefore appear to be, at first sight, cardboard sheets without a precise shape and only by folding them according to the invitations and inserting the interlocking tabs between one element and the other, they give life to a small or large building starting from the bricks (in cardboard), as if it were a real house.

Even in the window dressing sector or exhibition stands you can find a series of items to build walls, or rather to cover them, in fact, interlocking panels on uprights are used and then they are covered with self-adhesive sheets printed on bricks or stones to give precisely the effect of a wall, but nothing that resembles this construction with various elements.

In the present case, in addition to the practicality of being able to store many elements lying in a limited space, for example in a single box, there is the possibility, in fairs or exhibitions in general, to create walls that can be removed if necessary, to purpose I demonstrated, even during the exhibition period, as their weight is completely negligible. These "bricks" or elements can then be coiots according to need, offering the visitor a pleasant view.

However, it should be pointed out here that the field of use to which the object of this Utility Model is mainly addressed is that of children's play constructions in order to stimulate their imagination, in the construction of elementary and non-elementary building structures.

1-h Flat or visible face, in the sense that it does not contain tabs or notches of any kind, it can be rough, that is the color of the cardboard, or printed in various ways but in any case such as to make it similar to a real brick. 2- Basic element, but with dimensions half of 1, it is obviously, like 1, made of smooth or corrugated cardboard or other, also cut and printed in all respects as 1 and then modular and assembled with it.

7-b Track for inserting a chimney or chimney pot.

8- Chimney element, in cardboard, simple tube with square or rectangular section.

9- Eaves element, also in cardboard, like all the others, with insertion tabs in the roof slots.

10- V-shaped connection elements for insertion within tracks 1-b to allow the creation of vaults with the aid of keys 12.

10-a V-shaped connection element similar to 10, of half size allows assembly of these elements, offset one from the other. 10-b Arc keys, they are half of 10 (vertically) and are right and left for closing in the center of the arch, inserting them in 1-b 11- Simple brackets for connecting elements 1 or 2 per plate if inserted in 1-c or even in 1-b.

The first two attached tables show the two elements 1 and 2, both freshly cut and molded and folded and assembled, since these two are the fundamental elements on which all the other pieces constituting the present system are based; while the following tables are dedicated to the illustration of the various elements, both constructive and connecting.

In particular, table 1 in its photographs 1 and 2 respectively highlights element 1, full open brick, and element 2, half brick, both made of corrugated cardboard cut with punches and with 1-g fold lines pre-printed by invitation .

By operating the various folds, parallelepiped boxes are obtained where only face 1-h, towards the outside, is exposed, i.e. without notches and tabs and therefore can also be printed or colored to obtain the maximum resemblance to a real brick .

The slots 1-b and 1-d can be connected successively with the tabs 1-e of another folded brick, to create a stable facilitated joint, as in the case of slots 1-b.

The slots 1-c, on the other hand, are used for other "clamping" connections as well as sometimes the 1-b at the head of the aforementioned brick.

On the other hand, the various flaps 1-a and 1-f have the simple function of stiffening the box, once the various flaps have been folded.

Figures 3 and 4 show in an extremely simple and intuitive way, respectively, two or three elements 1 and 2, connected by means of the tongues 1-e inserted in the slots 1-d or 1-b; from these photos it is therefore possible to understand the simple assembly system of these bricks here made of corrugated cardboard from commercial boxes, but which can be replaced by any similar material, such as plastic laminates of various origins.

In fig. 5 of table n.3 two elements 3 are represented, also made of U-folded cardboard on which a door and a window are depicted and of such dimensions as to be able to be inserted between two staggered or cut bricks.

The same fig. 5 also shows the half brick cut diagonally, indicated by 4, intended to create, with other elements 4, the slope or pitch of the roof as shown 5.

This cut element has only 1-c slots on the lower face and can, if necessary, be obtained with a normal brick 1.

Moving on to the examination now of fig. 6, table 3, we want to highlight a further intermediate connection element 6 which in reality, more than what the table says, is very important and can be realized in any measure so as to be able to connect firmly the walls and eventually close them at the base or under the roof.

The various elements 6-a, 6-b, 6-c only highlight the possibilities of making these curbs of the desired length without limitations, whether they are of edge or longitudinal development such as 6-c or 6.

Finally, fig. 7 represents a series of elements of the roof and here too the hooks that can be inserted on the walls made with bricks 1 and therefore can be inserted for example in 1-c are highlighted in 7-a and 9-a.

Moreover 7 represents a normal roof, again in cardboard with the compartment 7-b for the chimney and the eaves 9 with the aforementioned joints 9-a, while 7-c is half of a four-pitched roof.

Finally, the last figure, n.8, represents a series of brackets intended to connect bricks in vaults or arches where elements 1 or 2 are placed by knife and spaced by a suitable sector or keystone 12 which creates the desired angular increment.

In fact, by inserting 12 between 1 or 2, successively and alternatively, an arch or vault is built and to keep the bricks connected, an element 10 or 10-a is placed in the slots 1-b to connect them and so on; to close the arch at the peak, however, a pair of arch keys is required, one right and one left as represented by 10-b.

The connection means 10-a allows not to overlap two clamping thicknesses in a single slot 1-b but by arranging them staggered, 1-a, they realize an equal connection with a single thickness.

A further characteristic element is 11 but also 11-a; there are two brackets, a simple 11, and a double 11-a, both intended to connect two bricks or elements 1 and 2 placed per plate by inserting the edges of the U-shaped bracket in a pair of slots 1-c.

To conclude the metal element 13, it is a simple approximately rectangular blade where, at the ends of the longer side, two simple triangular points 13-a obtained by blanking and folded perpendicularly to the plate itself are obtained.

Used straight it can connect two contiguous elements in line, while used bent at right angles, it can fix two corners or two elements such as 6 or 6-a, for example.

Said lamella can be produced in iron or aluminum sheet unlike all the elements mentioned above which are made, as mentioned, in cardboard or similar material.

From what has been illustrated up to now, the simple characteristics of this construction system with connectable elements generally produced in cardboard or corrugated cardboard or plastic laminate, punched or punched and provided with traces of folding or bending are evident.

Said elements can be obtained in raw or colored cardboard and also printed or equipped with decals or self-adhesive drawings or colors.

As anticipated, this system is dedicated to two completely different sectors: that is, it can be used as a construction game for children and therefore for recreational educational purposes, but it can also be used to create window dressing constructions or sectoral exhibitions or fairs in particular.

Claims (1)
