Come evidente nelle figure 1 e 2, la base di sostegno è costituita da un tubo quadro centrale 1 e da due appoggi sagomati a "T", le cui aste 2 possono essere innestate nelle estremità del tubo quadro 1. Sotto agli elementi trasversali 3 sono applicate delle ruote pivettanti 4 o, in alternativa, dei piedini. Con 5 sono indicati dei pomelli a vite, che servono a bloccare gli appoggi laterali sfilabili.
