Il presente trovato si riferisce a un essiccatore a tamburo di biancheria e altri articoli, in particolare un essiccatore del tipo a espulsione. The present invention relates to a drum dryer for laundry and other articles, in particular a dryer of the ejection type.

Un essiccatore comprende un mobile sostanzialmente parallelepipedo in cui è racchiuso un tamburo che, azionato mediante una cinghia di trasmissione da un motore elettrico, è atto a ruotare secondo un asse più o meno orizzontale. In tutti i casi le impurità vengono in contatto con gli articoli caricati nel tamburo, con evidenti effetti negativi, in modo particolare se questi sono costituiti da capi di biancheria fabbricati con un tessuto spugnoso o seta. In modo ben noto, l’essiccatore mostrato nell’allegato disegno comprende un mobile sostanzialmente parallelepipedo 1 con un piano di lavoro 2, un pannello frontale 3 per gli organi di comando 4, 5. All’interno del mobile 1 è disposto un tamburo metallico 6 che è atto a essere messo in rotazione intoro a un asse X più o meno orizzontale da un motore elettrico mediante una cinghia di trasmissione (per semplicità, questi ultimi particolari non sono mostrati). Per il carico e lo scarico degli articoli da asciugare la bocca della flangia anteriore 7 del tamburo 6 è chiusa da una porta rettangolare 8 che è incernierata alla parete frontale 9 del mobile 1. Claims

CLAIMS 1. Dryer for linen and other items comprising, inside a cabinet (1) a rotating drum (6) designed to be loaded with the items to be dried; means (11) for heating and means (10, 12) suitable for ensuring a forced circulation of air through the drum (6); means (15) for expelling the air from the dryer after it has become saturated inside the drum (6) with the humidity present in the same articles, characterized in that along the path (10) between the the air intake area (21) in the appliance and its inlet area (13) in the drum (6) are provided with filtering means (22) suitable for retaining the impurities entrained by the air or present in the air drawn in by the installation environment of the appliance.

2. Dryer according to claim 1, characterized in that said filtering means (22) are associated with a drawer (20) accessible by the user and are preferably supported by a frame (23) which is in turn supported by the box-like body of the drawer.

3. Dryer according to claim 2, characterized in that the frame (23), and therefore also the supporting means (22), are pivoting in that they are hinged to the box-like body of the drawer (20).

4. Dryer according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the drawer (20) with the filtering means (22) is accessible from the control panel (3) and can also be removed from the appliance by the user.

5. Dryer according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said filtering means (22) consist of a septum manufactured with materials suitable for retaining solid particles coupled to a septum manufactured with adsorbing materials of harmful gaseous substances contained in the air .

6. Dryer according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said filter means (22) consist of a septum manufactured with filter paper or the like.

7. Dryer according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said filtering means (22) are arranged in an air duct (10) underneath the upper wall (2) of the cabinet (1) and at a short distance from the means (11) for air heating.
