The invention is applied to play a game of a new game of chess which, although inspired by the traditional game, provides for the insertion of some new pieces and above all provides for the game to develop simultaneously on three distinct chessboards.

Each of these three chessboards has a rhombus drawn on its central part (Table 1, single figure, letter E, F, G), formed by tracing the 4 diagonals of the 4 central squares. Said rhombus has the function of allowing the passage of the pieces from one chessboard to another: in fact, to pass a piece from one to the other chessboard it is necessary to position it on one of the four sides of the rhombus and then move it to the same side of the corresponding rhombus drawn on the board on which you want to place the piece.

These three chessboards can be located in any arrangement, that is, both on one surface and one higher than the other in any combination and variant of positions.

For illustrative purposes, we propose in this patent application the best layout aesthetically and for ease of use in carrying out the moves.

The invention in this embodiment has an inclined structure (Table 1) which allows (at the disposal of the three chessboards at different heights: at the bottom is the largest chessboard (Table 1, single figure, letter A), which constitutes the base of the structure, made up of eight squares in width and eight squares in length; above it is positioned in a slight overlap the median chessboard (Table 1, single figure, letter B) which has eight squares in width and six squares in length; above, in the highest part, we find, also slightly overlapping, the chessboard that has six squares both in width and in length (Table 1, single figure, letter C). The chessboard thus composed has an extension at the base (Table 1 , single figure, letter D) which allows the whole structure to remain in equilibrium despite the imposed slope, a slope that can be varied as desired.

The chessboard can be a unitary piece, or be composed of the three chessboards that can be separated and reassembled, as well as it can be folded and opened at the moment of use. Any and every constructive combination can be feasible according to specific aesthetic and commercial needs.

The same applies to the materials: the invention can be made of any material, from wood to plastic, to marble, etc., even if transparent materials such as Plexiglas are preferred for aesthetic reasons.

The chessboard in question involves the use of chess pieces in greater numbers and two new types of pieces called, for convenience, "archer" and "squire": the archer moves vertically and horizontally by only one square at a time and along the diagonal for any number of squares; the squire moves one square at a time in any direction, like the king, except that he is not a king he is not afraid of check.

The total pieces are: 1 King, 1 Queen, 4 Towers, 2 Archers, 2 Standard Bearers, 2 Horses, 2 Squires, 12 Pawns for each of the two players.

The pieces are positioned on the chessboard in the way indicated in Table 4. In particular, on the larger chessboard the pieces are positioned in the traditional way with the difference that the knight and two outside pawns are missing (Table 4, figure 1); the absence of pedestrians allows for a more streamlined game as the towers can immediately come out into the open and immediately become an active part of the game. On the second chessboard, two archers flanked by two towers are placed in the outermost part, and in front of them 4 pawns (Table 4, figure 2). On the third chessboard, two horses flanked by two squires are placed in the outermost part and in front of them 2 pawns (Table 4, figure 3).

Once the pieces have been positioned as indicated, the actual game begins. The aim of the game is to check the King as in the traditional game with the difference that here you have a much broader and more complex game plan and a greater number of pieces; moreover, each piece can be brought (including King) from one chessboard to another, so that the game is actually played on three distinct levels which, however, form a single overall playing field.

Table 1 shows the game plan with the three chessboards located one above the other in order to give an inclination to the plane itself; at the base is the classic chessboard (A), in the center the chessboard of 8 x 6 squares (B) and in the other the chessboard of 6 x 6 squares (C), each of which has a rhombus drawn in the center (E, F , G) by means of which the pieces are passed from one chessboard to another. The playing surface can be provided with a support (0) to give balance to the structure.

Table 2 shows the same game surface as Table 1, seen in profile, so as to highlight the inclination of the plane itself.

Table 3 shows the three chessboards that make up the game plan seen in plan, which can be positioned in any arrangement with respect to each other without this detracting from the functionality of the game itself.

Table 4 shows the three chessboards indicating the arrangement of the pieces on them. Figure 1 shows the arrangement of the pieces on the basic chessboard which is identical to the traditional chessboard in terms of number of squares: in this chessboard the following pieces are positioned, rook, bishop, queen, king bishop and rook, as indicated, preceded by pawns , on both sides of the board. Unlike the traditional position of the pieces, here there are no horses and two defending pedestrians, so the towers can easily come out. Figure 2 presents the following position of the pieces: rook, archer, archer, rook, preceded by 4 pawns, on both sides of the chessboard. Figure 3 presents the following position of the pieces: squire, knight, knight, squire, preceded by two pawns, on both sides of the chessboard.

Since the invention in question has been described and represented in one of its embodiments only by way of indication and not limitation for the demonstration of its essential characteristics, it is understood that it may undergo numerous variations according to industrial and commercial requirements, as well as make use of other systems and means, all without leaving its scope.

Therefore it must be understood that any equivalent application of these concepts and any equivalent product implemented and / or operating according to one or more any of the characteristics indicated in the following claims must be included in the patent application.
