Description

DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION

The artifact consists of a cube with an opening in the upper part, in which a grid is inserted for the collection of water and the retention of waste above a certain size. The grid in question can be one of the traditional ones on the market or made expressly for the product. Immediately under the grill seat there are two shapes that favor the entry of water; these shapes continue towards the inside of the product with two grooves. On these grooves there are two doors with a shape (detail A - vertical section) that allows them to swing freely (element B - vertical section). Above the back of the flaps there are two stops, at a suitable distance, which prevent them from coming out of the seat in which they are located. Lower in the center, there is an inverted V-shaped septum (element C - vertical section) on the edges of which the two flaps come together due to their weight, thus preventing the passage of the air from inside the sewer to the outside. . The water, on the other hand, will enter every time it accumulates a weight equal to or greater than that of each of the two flaps. The lower part of the cube is completely free to allow the free flow of water into the sewer.

The cubic artifact, represented in the drawing, measures cm. 30 on the side but can be made in any size compatible with the pit in which it is to be placed. This trapdoor can be made with various types of material such as cast iron, steel, sheet metal. The trap door can also be made of hard plastics, to be used in places subject to pedestrian and light vehicle traffic.

CLAIMINGS Exclusively trap drains are currently used. They are subject to clogging, caused by thè filling of thè trap itself with thè small waste that gets over thè barrier of thè overlooking grill. In case of rainstorms and/or heavy showers, such drawback is responsible of road flooding and significant problems for civil protection. Furthermore, trap drains has an other disadvantage: during summertime, heat my cause evaporation of water in the background of thè trap bowL The absence of water in thè trap drain bowl allows smells to come up on to thè atmosphere. The novelty of thè pian is represented by the small doors which, drawing near thè separator in reversed V, enable thè water to flow freely each time it reaches an equal or higher weight than thè one of the small doors themselves. When balanced, thè small doors efficaciously prevent thè air, which circulates through thè sewerage, from dispersing in thè external atmosphere and prevent thè rats from going out of thè sewer.CLAIMS Currently, only siphon drains (or foraces) are used which are subject to clogging caused by filling the siphon with small waste that exceeds the barrier of the overlying grid. This inconvenience is responsible, in the case of thunderstorms and / or showers, for road flooding and major problems also for civil protection. In addition, the siphon forks in hot and dry periods give rise to further problems related to the evaporation of the water that stagnates at the bottom of the glass, making the closure that normally guarantees that the underlying odors escape into the outside air no longer possible. The novelty of the project is represented by the flaps which, by approaching the inverted V-shaped partition, allow the free flow of water every time it reaches a weight equal to or greater than that of each of the same flaps. In equilibrium position, the flaps effectively prevent the air circulating in the sewer from dispersing into the external atmosphere and the rats from exiting the sewer.
