CLAIMS 1. Plastic pouch characterized in that it has an open end carrying a magnetic material which allows the open end of the pouch to be held closed by magnetic attraction.

A plastic pouch according to claim 1, wherein said magnetic material is in the form of strips carried on the outer faces of the open end of said pouch in such a way as to allow the open end of the pouch to be closed by folding the open end and that it is kept closed by the magnetic attraction between said strips.

A plastic bag according to claim 2, wherein: said pouch comprises front and rear plastic panels joined together along their peripheral edges except at said open end of the pouch; the front panel having an outer face carrying first, second and third strips of magnetic material extending through said open end of the pouch in spaced parallel relation to each other; said rear panel having an outer face carrying a first strip of magnetic material aligned with said strip of magnetic material carried by said front panel; in such a way that the open end of the pouch can be folded with a first fold which carries said first and second strip of said front panel in contact with each other, and therefore with a second fold which carries said third strip of said front panel and said first strip of said rear panel in contact with each other; the spaces between said first and second strips and between said second and third strips of said front panel serving as fold lines allowing the open end of the pouch to be folded, and further producing sealing lines which seal the contents of the pouch from leaks .

A plastic pouch according to claim 3, wherein said front panel is formed with a cavity in a central position with respect to its open edge to facilitate the opening of the pouch by a user who engages the portion of the rear panel aligned with said cavity between the thumb and forefinger of the user.

5. A plastic bag according to claim 3, wherein: said front panel comprises, on its outer face, a fourth strip of magnetic material parallel to and spaced inwardly with said third strip; and wherein said rear panel comprises on its outer face a second strip of magnetic material parallel to and spaced inwardly with respect to said first strip thereon; whereby the open end of said pouch can be folded with a third fold causing said fourth front panel strip and second rear panel strip to be brought into contact with each other and produce a further line of held along the line of said third fold.

A plastic pouch according to claim 1, wherein said pouch comprises a gelling agent for gelling a liquid when received in the pouch.

A plastic pouch according to claim 1, wherein said pouch comprises volume markings starting with the closed bottom of the pouch to indicate the volume of the pouch contents.

A plastic pouch according to claim 1, wherein the open end of the pouch is releasably held closed by a flexible strip attached at one end to a face of the pouch and extending towards the end of the pouch to be closed , said locking strip having a length such that the opposite end of said locking strip extends across the latter end of the pouch, when closed, and releasably engages another strip secured to the opposite face of the pouch by cooperating fasteners hook and loop on the two strips.

A plastic pouch according to claim 8, wherein said magnetic material is in the form of a plurality of magnetic strips carried on the outer faces of the open end of said pouch so as to allow the open end of the pouch to be closed by folding the open end and is held in a closed position by the magnetic attraction between said magnetic strips and by said locking strip.

Double pouch construction, comprising a first plastic pouch according to claim 1, and a second plastic pouch enclosing said first plastic pouch and comprising a closed bottom and an open end; the closed bottom of said first plastic bag being fixed to the closed bottom of said second plastic bag; the open end of said second plastic bag being closable by hand.

A plastic bag comprising front and rear plastic panels joined together along their peripheral edges except at one end which constitutes an open end of the bag; said front panel having an external face that carries a first, a second and a third strip of material that favors the adhesion that extends through said open end of the bag in parallel relationship spaced apart from each other; said rear panel having an outer face carrying a first strip of adhesion-promoting material aligned with said first strip of adhesion-promoting material carried by said front panel; in such a way that the open end of the pouch can be folded with a first fold which carries said first and second strip of said front panel in contact with each other, and then with a second fold which carries said third strip of said front panel and said first strip of said rear panel in contact with each other; the spaces between said first and second strips and between said second and third strips of said front panel serving as fold lines which allow the open end of the pouch to be folded, and further producing sealing lines which seal the contents of the pouch from leaks .

13. A plastic pouch according to claim 12 wherein said adhesion promoting material is a magnetic material.

14. The plastic pouch of claim 12 wherein said adhesion promoting material is a pressure sensitive adhesive material.

15. A plastic pouch according to claim 12, wherein said front panel is formed with a cavity located centrally at its open edge to facilitate opening of the pouch by a user who engages the portion of the rear panel aligned with said cavity between the thumb and forefinger of the user.

16. A plastic bag according to claim 12, wherein: said front panel comprises, on its external face, a fourth strip of material which favors the parallel adhesion to, and spaced inwardly, of said third strip; and wherein said rear panel comprises on its outer face a second strip of material which promotes adhesion parallel to and spaced inwardly of said first strip thereon; whereby the open end of said pouch can be folded with a third fold which causes said fourth front panel strip and second rear panel strip to be brought into contact with each other and produce a fourth line of held along the line of said third fold.

17. A plastic pouch according to claim 12, wherein the open end of the pouch is held closed and releasably by a flexible strip attached at one end to one face of the pouch and extending towards the end of the pouch. which must be closed, said locking strip having a length such that the opposite end of said locking strip extends through this latter end of the pouch, when closed, and releasably engages another strip secured to the opposite face of the pouch by fastening elements cooperating with hook and loop on the two strips.

18. A plastic pouch according to claim 17, wherein said magnetic material is in the form of a plurality of magnetic strips carried on the outer faces of the open end of said pouch so as to allow the open end of the pouch to be closed by folding the open end, and is held closed by the magnetic attraction between said magnetic strips and by said locking strip.

19. A plastic bag according to claim 18, for containing a drinkable liquid, wherein said front panel and said rear panel have sides converging at the ends which constitute the open end of the bag to define a conical neck at said open end of the bag to facilitate the operation of drinking the liquid contents of the bag.

20. A plastic pouch according to claim 19, wherein said material which promotes adhesion in each of said strips is a magnetic material.
