Abstract

The present invention relates to a motorcyclist helmet, comprising channels for the passage therethrough of an air flow generated as the motorcycle is driven, said channels being defined by connecting a contoured inner construction to the outer cap of the helmet. To the contoured construction soft foamed material bands contacting the user head are applied. Each ventilating channel is provided with an air flow inlet, arranged on the front and at a lower position than the helmet visor, as well as with air flow outlets arranged at portions of the helmet which are not covered by the foamed material bands. The subject helmet is moreover provided with a transparent material covering element. <IMAGE>

2. Helmet for motorcyclists, according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a first pair of channels for the air flow, which run symmetrically through the median portion of the helmet and a second pair of channels for the air flow, each of which runs along the sides of the helmet.

3. Helmet for motorcyclists, according to claims 1 or 2, characterized in that bands of soft foam material are applied inside the aforesaid shaped structure and come into contact with the head of the helmet user.

Helmet for motorcyclists, according to one or more preceding claims, characterized in that each of the aforesaid channels has an inlet opening for the air flow, located frontally and in a lower position with respect to the visor of the helmet, and outlet openings for the air flow, located in correspondence with portions of the helmet not covered by the bands applied to the aforementioned shaped structure.

5. Helmet for motorcyclists, according to one or more preceding claims, characterized in that the aforementioned inlet openings for the air flow are obtained by means of suitable deformations of the front portion of the aforesaid shaped structure.

6. Helmet for motorcyclists, according to one or more preceding claims, characterized in that the aforementioned outlet openings for the air flow have a substantially rectangular shape with rounded corners.

7. Helmet for motorcyclists, according to one or more preceding claims, characterized in that the aforesaid outer shell is made of transparent material.
