Description
DESCRIZIONE dell'invenzione industriale dal titolo: "CANTRINA PERFEZIONATA PER IL SUPPORTO SUL TELAIO DI ROCCHETTI DI ALIMENTAZIONE DI FILI DIVERSI DA QUELLI D'ORDITO" DESCRIPTION of the industrial invention entitled: "PERFECTED CANTRINE FOR THE SUPPORT ON THE FRAME OF REELS FOR FEEDING WIRES OTHER THAN WARP YARNS"
The present invention relates to an improved cantrine for supporting on the loom of reels for feeding yarns other than warp yarns and generally not involved in weaving.
It is known that on weaving looms it is necessary to feed so-called "splitz" yarns, that is the pair of yarns required for each leno stitch, or for the formation of the false selvedge or other, which requires assembly in fixed areas of the cantrine frame to support the relative feed reels. A common but expensive type of assembly of the reel on the cantrina is that which foresees the rotating reel on a coaxial roller while the tension of the thread automatically regulates the action exerted by a brake also mounted on the same cantrine. The roller can be mounted on bearings to minimize friction and the brake acts on the fixed diameter of the roller and as a function of the wire tension. Instead of expensive bearings, the spool can be mounted on a small diameter central shaft, which requires the brake to act directly on the wire wound on the spool, thus adapting to its diameter, which decreases over time. The tension of the thread must be practically constant and this is achieved by making the brake as an elastic sheet or an arm pushed by a torsion spring which, as the diameter of the thread on the spool varies, decreases the force exerted but at the same time increases the arm of application of such a force so that the torque required to oppose an increase in the rotation of the spool and therefore an uncontrolled unwinding of the thread can be kept sufficiently constant within acceptable levels.
It is also known that it is less easy to keep under control the inevitable voltage fluctuations that occur in the wire feed, especially when it comes to leno, so the elastic lamina partially compensates for this tension but the peaks can move the brake away from the thread so that you can have a turn with an abundance of thread not in tension with the consequence that in this situation there is no binding.
Known cantrine are then normally constituted by relatively expensive devices not only because of the bearings, but also because of the numerous pieces of various materials that compose them and which must be fixed together, while everything must be blocked, for example with clamps, on the structure. of the loom in various positions, even closely side by side, given the quite high number required for the feeding points of the aforementioned threads, in relatively concentrated areas along the loom.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide cantrine for the aforementioned purposes, with which the thread feeding spool is affected as little as possible, in its rotation, by the voltage fluctuations acting on the thread itself.
Another object of the present invention is to provide cantrines of simpler construction than those of the known art, being made up of a smaller number of pieces and fastened more quickly and easily to the frame structure.
These objects are achieved by means of a cantrine having the characteristics reported in claim 1.
These and other objects, advantages and characteristics of a cantrine according to the present invention will become clearer from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment thereof, given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the attached drawings in which:

Figure 4a shows a sectional view of Fig. 4 along the line IV-IV.
With reference to Figs. 1 and 2, a cantrina according to the present invention is represented, consisting of a simple structure with a central body 1 which can be inserted on a suitable tubular element of the frame, of any section (not shown in the figure), by means of a sleeve or profile 2 having the shape homologous. The sleeve can be fitted onto the tubular element and fixed on it by means of, for example, a threaded dowel 3 which can be screwed into a corresponding threaded hole indicated with 3a. Instead of a sleeve 2, a section of any geometric shape could be provided, possibly different from that of the tubular support element on which it could be forced to fit thanks to its relative elasticity having for example a wavy or lobed shape in order to increase grip and improve anti-rotation locking even in the absence of external screwing or fixing elements.
On the bearing body 1, preferably obtained by molding in a material with a low coefficient of friction such as nylon reinforced with glass or carbon fibers, two shafts 4 and 5 are obtained in a single piece, the axes of which X-X and Y-Y are preferably between them parallel. On the shaft 4, preferably metallic, the sleeve 4a supporting the reel 10 is rotatably mounted during its unwinding, while on the other, of the same material as the body 1, and preferably finned to increase its rigidity, the end of an arm 6 pushed elastically against the lateral surface of the cylinder formed by the wire wound on the spool 10. The elastic thrust on the arm 6 is imparted by a torsion spring or in any other way, for example with the arm itself formed by an elastic sheet, in such a way as to keep constantly in contact with the outer coils of wire wound on the spool 10 with a preferably rounded resting area 6a, as seen in Fig. 2. Said area 6a can be shaped directly on the brake arm 6 or be made up of a felt pad, possibly replaceable once it is worn out by friction. In any case, the area 6a of the arm will be shaped in such a way as to rapidly move away from the contour of the spool 10 to avoid interference with the unwinding wire, presenting a strongly convex part which then changes direction with the foil part 16 almost rectilinear at the same time. external end of which there is an eyelet 16a for passing the thread.
As can be seen in Fig. 1, a cantrine can be double, providing the support, on opposite sides with respect to the central body 1, of two reels 10 for feeding corresponding threads in distinct but close areas of the loom. In the same way, more cantrine, for example double, can be provided, mounted superimposed on the same vertical tubular support, where the feeding of a large number of threads not intended for weaving is required, as previously mentioned. It is obvious that in any case a shaft 5 for supporting the braking arm 6 corresponds to each shaft 4 and relative tube 4a for supporting a spool. separately on the tubular support upright, multiple canisters can also be provided, the central body 1 of which extends vertically to form a tubular column capable of carrying, on various levels, a sufficient number of shafts 4 and relative sleeves 4a for supporting spools with a corresponding number of shafts 5 for the relative braking arms 6.
As is known, and can be seen in Figs. 1 and 3, the sleeve 4a has, in a first embodiment, radial fins 7 of increasing height towards the body 1, so as to assume a substantially frusto-conical size. Towards the outside, a head 8 with an elastic sealing ring, preferably shaped with conical teeth, is keyed onto the sleeve 4a to facilitate the insertion and locking on it of the spool 10. During its rotation, also the external part of the sleeve 4a is rotated around the central shaft 4 with bush 12 or, according to the alternative embodiment of Figs. 3 and 3a, through a friction clutch 11 described below. The bush 12 is threaded and a pair of facing flanges 13 and 14 is provided, of which the first is integral with the fixed part of the cantrine, although adjustable with respect to the body 1 by screwing onto the bush 12, while the second is integral with the part revolving of the quill 4a, so that it is integral with the reel 10 itself. The two flanges 13 and 14 are normally kept in frictional engagement with each other by the opposite thrust exerted by an intermediate compression spring 15 on the flanges themselves and in particular between the flange 13 and a disk 14a made integral with said flange 14 by the thrust of the spring 15 being constituted by a material with a high friction coefficient. The spring 15 is calibrated in such a way as to be without effect during normal rotation, so that the sleeve 4a, with the finned part 7, rotates together with the spool 10 with respect to the flange 13 and therefore to the body 1 of the cantrine as if the friction assembly 11 did not exist, while the arm 6 exerts a sufficient braking action. With an excessive increase in the rotation speed that can occur, as previously mentioned, during leno tying, the traditional brake 6 is ineffective, so that the action exerted by the fixed flange 13 over the movable one 14 through the thrust becomes preponderant. of the spring 15, so that the rotation is slowed down. Naturally, this particular embodiment of friction cantrine, shown here in Fig. 3 for the embodiment with a single spool, can also be adopted for cantrines which, as in Fig. 1, have on opposite sides pairs of support shafts for the spools.
With reference to Fig. 4, a further embodiment of the cantrine according to the present invention is shown, particularly useful for use with reels 10 having an internal core of different dimensions from the standard ones. In fact, if it were certain that all the reels 10 had the same internal dimensions, it would be sufficient to make the support sleeves 4a with fins 7 suitably sized once and for all. Without this certainty, since on the other hand it is not convenient to arrange the stock of several sleeves with different sizes of the fins, the solution illustrated in Fig. 4 was adopted. Coaxially and outside the sleeve 4a a section is mounted sliding longitudinally of a hollow shaft or sleeve 9 which widens in a truncated cone on the side facing the fixed body 1, turning the larger base of a truncated cone 17 to it, while the outer end of the sleeve 4a will still be integral with an elastic head 8 as previously described. Between the inner part, of smaller diameter, of the frusto-conical part and an end flange 18 of the sleeve 4a, a compression spring 19 exerts its action to keep the frustum-shaped part 17 in contact with the internal core of the spool 10 and thus determining its self-adaptation. Naturally, even with this embodiment, a friction coupling system such as the one described and illustrated in Fig. 3a can be provided and the same compression spring 19 can be used for this purpose.
Finally, Fig. 4 also illustrates a different means of fixing the sleeve 2 to the corresponding upright of the frame, which allows a better locking action than the use of the dowel 3, especially when there are circular-shaped sections of the sleeve and relative upright, which could favor reciprocal rotation. With reference to Fig. 4a, the threaded dowel 3 acts, instead of directly on the fixed anchoring element or tubular upright (not shown), on an elastic block 22 by means of a metal plate 21. In this way the action exerted by the threaded dowel 3 is no longer limited to a point or to the very small area of contact with the fixed upright, but is distributed, by means of the metal plate 21, over the entire surface of the block 22 which is moreover made of elastic material and is therefore able to cushion the vibrations which, always present in a frame, could over time lead to loosening of the tightening. In addition, the elastic block 22 will preferably be shaped so as to adapt as much as possible to the upright itself, marrying its curvature and thus further increasing the area on which the locking action is exercised.
Any additions and / or modifications may be made by those skilled in the art to the above described and illustrated embodiment of the cantrine according to the present invention without departing from the scope of the invention itself.
