Claims

CLAIMS 1. Quadrant (1) for book covers, characterized in that it comprises a lowered area (6) obtained on one face of said quadrant, said lowered area (6) being open on an edge of said quadrant (1) and being delimited by a wall (8) adapted to laterally contain an optical disc (25) of the CD, DVD, BLU RAY or similar type within said lowered area (6), said quadrant (1) consisting of a blank of paper material which is folded over itself so as to obtain a laminate, in which at least one layer comprises a punched zone (21, 31) which at least partially defines said wall (8) of the lowered zone (6).

Quadrant (1) according to claim 1, wherein said wall (8) of the lowered area (6) is U-shaped, so as to define a bottom portion of said wall on the opposite side with respect to said edge of the quadrant on which said lowered area is open (6).

Quadrant (1) according to one of the preceding claims, in which said blank is a sheet of substantially rectangular shape and composed of a plurality of panels (2, 3, 4, 5) delimited by folding lines (23, 34, 45) substantially parallel, said panels (2, 3, 4, 5) defining respective layers of said stratified, at least one (2, 3) of said panels comprising said punched zone (21, 31).

Quadrant (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, wherein said punched region (21, 31) is U-shaped.

Quadrant (1) according to claims 3 and 4, wherein two contiguous panels (2, 3) of said plurality of panels (2, 3, 4, 5) comprise said punched zone (21, 31), said shape of U being defined on said two contiguous panels (2, 3) in a specular way with respect to the folding line (23) which separates said two contiguous panels (2, 3).

6. Folder blanket (10) for books, comprising two quadrants and a spine (11) fixed on a cover sheet (12), characterized by the fact that at least one of said quadrants is the quadrant (1) according to one or more of the previous claims.

Deck (10) according to claim 6, wherein the edge of said quadrant (1) on which said lowered area (6) is open corresponds to a perimeter edge of said blanket substantially parallel to said back (11).

8. Book (20) comprising a folder blanket, a plurality of bound sheets (21) and a flyleaf (22) fixed to a respective quadrant of said folder blanket, characterized by the fact that said folder blanket is the blanket folder (10) according to one of claims 6 or 7, said flyleaf (22) defining together with said lowered area (6) a pocket (24) suitable for the radial insertion of an optical disc (25) of the CD, DVD type , BLU RAY or similar.

Book according to claim 8, wherein said flyleaf (22) comprises a window (26) in correspondence with said lowered area (6).

Book according to claim 9, wherein said window (26) is circular and delimits an area superimposed on most of the surface of said lowered area (6).
