DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to an ozone generator device of the type specified in the preamble of the first claim.
Various types of ozone generating devices commonly known as ozonizers are currently known.
Ozone is in fact used in particular for water purification treatments and gives rise to an antibacterial and antiviral activity that is important and much higher than other substances, such as chlorine.
Ozone, used for these purposes, also has very few side effects. Ozone can then also be used for air treatment or more, in particular for the disinfestation and sanitation of environments.
Commonly, known type generating devices comprise a cylindrical element made of polymeric material within which a metal and conductive mesh connected to a voltage generator is arranged.
All’interno dell’elemento cilindrico viene quindi immessa aria compressa od ossigeno che, successivamente all’interazione con la rete metallica ad alta tensione elettrica, viene almeno parzialmente trasformata in ozono. Compressed air or oxygen is then introduced into the cylindrical element which, following the interaction with the high voltage electrical wire mesh, is at least partially transformed into ozone.
In particolare possono essere raggiunte tensioni prossime agli 12 000 V. In particular, voltages close to 12 000 V can be reached.
La tecnica nota sopra citata presenta alcuni importanti inconvenienti. The aforementioned known technique has some important drawbacks.
In fact, due to the high tensions, the cylindrical element in polymeric material can break or perforate, thus compromising the operation of the device.
Furthermore, the said ozone generating devices have a poor efficiency.
In this situation, the technical task underlying the present invention is to devise an ozone generator device capable of substantially obviating the aforementioned drawbacks.
Within the scope of said technical task, it is an important object of the invention to obtain an ozone generator device that has a high durability over time and an excellent efficiency.
The technical task and the specified aims are achieved by an ozone generator device as claimed in the attached Claim 1.

Fig. 2 illustrates an apparatus including several devices according to the invention. It comprises an external casing 2, adapted to include the various elements of the device 1.
Advantageously, said outer casing 2 is made of conductive material, preferably metallic, preferably of steel, and has a preferably tubular shape, and more preferably cylindrical or prismatic, with a ratio between height and diameter suitably comprised between 5 and 25 and more preferably between 9 and 11, or between 18 and 20.
Esso definisce quindi una direzione assiale 1a, una base inferiore 2a e una base superiore 2b. It therefore defines an axial direction 1a, a lower base 2a and an upper base 2b.
All’interno dell’involucro esterno 2 è alloggiata una parete interna 3 preferibilmente prismatica, e più preferibilmente cilindrica, e coassiale all’involucro esterno 2. Inside the outer shell 2 there is an inner wall 3 preferably prismatic, and more preferably cylindrical, and coaxial to the outer shell 2.
The inner wall 3 is made of insulating material and suitably of glass or ceramic material, more preferably of glass, or of borosilicate or porcelain.
It also appropriately has a ratio between height and diameter similar or identical to the ratio between height and diameter of the outer casing 2.
This wall 3 therefore defines an internal space 4 and an intermediate space 5, between the external casing 2 and the internal wall 3.
The inner wall 3 and the outer casing 4 are mutually connected by means of an upper insulating element 6 and a lower insulating element 7, in insulating polymeric material or the like.
The insulating elements 6 and 7 are illustrated in Fig. 1 and comprise passage channels for gasses 8, suitable for connecting the internal 4 and intermediate 5 spaces in fluid passage.
In particular, the lower insulating element 7 rests on the lower base 2a. Otherwise, the upper insulating element 6 constitutes, together with a threaded body 9, the upper base 2b.
The device 1 also includes an inlet fluid connection 10, designed to allow the entry of fluid from the outside.
It is arranged along the outer casing 2 and preferably equipped with a valve 10a.

The device 1 then comprises an outlet fluid connection 11, designed to allow the fluid to exit to the outside and arranged along the outer casing 2 and preferably equipped with a valve 11a.
In particular, the fluid outlet connection 11 is designed to connect the internal space 4 with an external channel, for ozone.
In addition, the inlet and outlet connections 10 and 11 are made near or at the lower 2a and upper 2b bases of the outer casing 2 and are mutually arranged in proximity to opposite bases.
The distance, in the axial direction 1a, between a connection 10 or 11 and the closest base is suitably less than one fifth, and more conveniently one tenth, of the total height of the external casing 2.
The fluid outlet connection 11 is therefore preferably obtained at the lower base 2a and partially obtained along the lower insulating element 7, by means of an axial hole placed thereon. The inlet fluid connection 10 is instead preferably formed at the upper base.
The device 1 then comprises a first conductive element 12 arranged in the intermediate space 5, and able to conduct high voltage electric current along a large surface.
In particular, the first conductive element 12 consists of a stainless steel metal mesh arranged along the surface facing the intermediate space 5 of the internal wall 3.
It is also electrically connected to the external casing 2, suitably by means of a linear spring 13 or another conductive connection.
The device 1 also comprises a second conductive element 14 arranged in the internal space 4, and able to conduct high voltage electric current along a large surface.
In particular, the second conductive element 14 is also constituted by a stainless steel metal mesh arranged along the surface facing the internal space 4 of the internal wall 3.
The device 1 then comprises a first and a second electrical connection 15 and 16, suitable for carrying high voltage electric current from the outside to the inside of the enclosure 2.
In particular, the first electrical connection 15 is connected to the external casing 2, which is metallic and in turn connected to the first conductive element 12. Differently, the second electrical connection 16 comprises a conductive rod 17 arranged inside the insulating element upper 6, and therefore electrically insulated from the external casing 2.
The second electrical connection 16 then comprises an internal conductive element 18, suitable for connecting the second conductive element 14 with the conductive rod 17, and preferably consisting of a helical spring.
One or more ozone generating devices 1 can be arranged inside an ozonator apparatus 20.
The ozonator apparatus 20 therefore comprises at least one device 1 and fluid pipes 21, suitable for connecting a cylinder of fluid containing oxygen 22, in particular pure or high percentage oxygen or simply compressed air, with the devices 1 and for connecting the devices 1 with the outside for the diffusion of ozone.
The pipes 21 are also suitable for connecting two or more ozone generating devices 1 in series or in parallel.
The apparatus 20 then comprises electrical connections 23, suitable for connecting the first and second electrical connections 15 and 12 of the ozone generating devices 1 with the electrical network or an electrical current generator and possibly with a transformer 25. There may also be more transformers 25 which can be either high or low frequency.
Strutturalmente l’apparato 1 comprende infine un contenitore 24, preferibilmente scatolare atto a contenere i vari elementi descritti ed in particolare i dispositivi 1. Structurally, the apparatus 1 finally comprises a container 24, preferably box-like suitable to contain the various elements described and in particular the devices 1.
The operation of the ozone generator device 1, and of an ozonator apparatus 20, described above in a structural sense, is as follows.
To use the apparatus 20, an oxygen-containing fluid cylinder 22 is positioned in correspondence with the fluid ducts 21 of the ozonator apparatus 20.
The outlet of the same fluid ducts 21 is instead placed in correspondence with the environment to be treated, in particular water or other.
The fluid containing oxygen is then conveyed inside at least one device 1 and then transformed into ozone.
In particular, the fluid enters through the inlet fluid connection 10 and initially arranges itself in the intermediate space 5.
Successivamente, attraverso i canali passaggio 8 disposti negli elementi isolanti superiore 6 e inferiore 7, il fluido contenente ossigeno entra nello spazio interno 4. Subsequently, through the passage channels 8 arranged in the upper 6 and lower 7 insulating elements, the oxygen-containing fluid enters the internal space 4.
Simultaneously with the passage of fluid the conductive elements 12 and 14 are activated and brought to high voltage.
Consequently, the oxygen present in the fluid due to the presence of the high voltage electric current is transformed into ozone, by means of known chemical and electrochemical reactions.
Consequently, the fluid follows a path that goes from the top of the outer casing 2, where the fluid inlet connection 10 is located, to the base 2a, where the fluid outlet connection 11 is located, and is at the same time at least partially transformed into ozone after the interaction with conductive elements 12 and 14 and with the inner wall of the casing 2, connected to the first conductive element 12.
L'invenzione consente importanti vantaggi. The invention allows important advantages.
In fact, thanks in particular to the realization of the external casing 2 in metallic and conductive material and to the particular geometry of the same and of the internal wall 3, the device 1 has a very high efficiency. The transformation of oxygen into ozone takes place not only thanks to the presence of the conductive elements 12 and 14, but also thanks to the external envelope 2, connected to the first conductive element 12.
Furthermore, the particular choice of materials means that the device 1 itself has a high resistance even in correspondence with electric currents of the order of magnitude of tens of thousands of Volts, so as to be able to produce ozone with high efficiency over time.
The invention is susceptible of variants falling within the scope of the inventive concept. All the details can be replaced by equivalent elements and the materials, shapes and dimensions can be any.
