This model concerns a directional for chimney pots born from the need to overcome the annoying smoke problems, frequent in the fireplace, caused by the wind.

Table 1 shows the breakdown of the directional

in all its components with, in highlighting the location of all the details housed along the shaft, the arrangement of the screws in the fixing angle.

Table no. 2 shows the directional in question fixed to a chimney, highlighting, by means of the cross section, the exact location of the protection.

With reference to the aforementioned tables, the directional is anchored, with two fixing angles (A), in the internal part of the chimney. By placing the two corner pieces (A) inside, only the heads of the bolts (B) and (E) remain visible externally, thus leaving the walls of the chimney free from unsightly plates, as can be seen from table 2.

By means of the bolts (E) the base frame is fixed

(26) to two angles (A) and siblocks it through the washers (C, F) and idades (D, G), thus making it a

single body with the chimney itself.

Attached to the base frame (26) there is the base with

The main function of the directional m is to repair the ascent and the consequent exit of fumes from probable obstacles caused by the wind.This happens through the movement that the flag (2) transmits to the mast (4) simultaneously with the variations of current which cause the above problems.

To clarify this movement and to illustrate all the components that contribute to it, we refer to table n.1. On the upper end of the

The rotational movement of the shaft (4) and therefore of the protection (21) occurs by means of two oil bath bearings (12,13) 1 which lie in the cylindrical seat (11), fixed by means of the seger (14) . This seat (11) is fixed with the ring (10) to the support crosspiece (19) which in turn is fixed to the upper frame (22) by means of the screws (18) and nuts (20). A cover (7) with rivets is fixed to the upper frame (22) to cover the directional.
