Description

DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION

Currently, those who want to protect a limb from water must use 'means of luck such as plastic bags ~ extinguished in supermarkets or for waste with results that are not always optimal given their non-specificity and studied, for a different use. It has the function, in the health field, of protecting the limbs, human and animal, from water. When a limb for various reasons such as surgical wounds, which, tears, burns, plaster casts etc. cannot come into contact with water, wearing the watertight limb protector it is possible to take a shower, bath in the tub, pool or sea without the affected limb getting wet. It is a bag made of neoprene or rubbery, plastic or similar elastic materials, formed by one or two open sleeves and a wider central body. In the case in which the open sleeve is unique, the central body is hermetically closed at the bottom. The affected limb is introduced into the Limb Protector, the air is let out by compressing the central part and the end of the sleeve is turned inside out. With this system, perfect insulation from water is obtained. Figure 1 is an example of an appliance equipped with an overturned sleeve (A) inside (C) and the central body (B) Figure 2 represents the appliance equipped with two sleeves (A) always turned inside out (C) and the central body (B). The device can have different sizes or shapes depending on the size or anatomical segment to be protected and the constitution of the person wearing it. The fundamental characteristic is that the sleeve (Fig.1,2 A} must adhere perfectly to the skin, which is not essential as regards the central sac which can also be much wider.
