Descrizione del Brevetto d'invenzione avente per titolo: Description of the invention patent entitled:
"TAMPONAMENTO DELLE FORATURE SUI PROFILATI DI RINFORZO E DELLE LUCI LIBERE TRA LE PARETI DELLE CABINE E DEI CORRIDOI E LE STRUTTURE NAVALI, IN SENSO TRASVERSALE E LONGITUDINALE, E PROCEDIMENTO DI APPLICAZIONE" "FILLING OF HOLES ON REINFORCEMENT PROFILES AND CLEAR LIGHTS BETWEEN THE WALLS OF CABINS AND CORRIDORS AND NAVAL STRUCTURES, IN TRANSVERSAL AND LONGITUDINAL SENSE, AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE"
D E S C R I Z I O N E DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to the plugging of the holes on the reinforcement profiles and of the free spans existing between the walls of the cabins and corridors and the naval structures, both in the transverse and longitudinal directions, and the relative application procedure.
In shipbuilding, in addition to fire doors, it is required that for each fire compartmentation zone, elements are installed that close any type of existing holes and / or lights, in order to avoid the spread of smoke and flames in the event of 'fire.
Therefore, for each "fire zone", on the transverse structure of the ship, metal reinforcing elements are arranged consisting of a beam and lateral ribs.
Said reinforced structures are more resistant than common reinforcing rods, which are mounted at each frame interval, ie approximately every 500 ÷ 600 mm.
To limit the footprint of the ship's utilities, for example pipes, pipes and cables, these pass through the holes provided in the beams. There will be occupied holes and unoccupied holes. All the holes must be plugged, as well as the interstices between the cabin panels and the ship structure with class B15 plugging and, at certain intervals, with draft cutters. The walls that delimit the cabins and corridors must be of class B15, that is, they must resist fire for at least 15 minutes. The class B15 curtain walls must provide the same performance as a B15 wall.
The draft cutters, on the other hand, are tamponades prescribed at intervals, for example every 14 meters, independently of any other structure, and have the sole purpose of interrupting the flow of fire air, blocking the spread of fumes from a possible fire; they must therefore be incombustible and able to create a barrier without any interruption. According to the known art, the prescribed infill panels are made with galvanized sheet metal, which is profiled according to the size of the holes, both for the beam cutters and for the transverse and longitudinal class B15 infill panels.
The sheet is then riveted or welded on the structure but, in particular for class B15 infill panels, the sheet alone could not restore or exceed the relative requirements, so harpoons, made of iron wire, are welded on the sheet metal, by means of which rock wool panels are fixed, and finally the harpoons are folded.
The main drawback of the known infill panels is the large use of labor required for the installation of the infill panels as described above.
Another drawback of known rear-end collisions is the increase in weight, which on board ships must always be minimized.
All the aforementioned drawbacks have been overcome with the infill according to the present invention and the relative application process.
The object of the present invention is to simplify the installation of the infill works, making this operation easier and cheaper, and at the same time obtaining the great advantage of lightening the installed infill.
For this purpose, the use of particular panels has been studied which have the characteristics prescribed by the standards, but which are easy to install and lighter than the product applied with the known technique. To achieve the intended purpose according to the present invention, infill panels made of insulating material are used, on which a coating consisting of a fiberglass cloth or a thin aluminum sheet is glued; both increase the stability of the panel on site, give it a greater overall compactness, a remarkable finish aspect, greater resistance to fire and elasticity over time, which is very important due to the vibrations that are always present on board the ships.
(panels according to the invention are fixed on site by means of an incombustible product, packaged in cartridges, thanks to which the sealing of the panel along the perimeter and in correspondence with the user crossings is made easier, avoiding welding and riveting, which require the use of skilled labor.
Some of the numerous advantages which are achieved with the present invention are the following.
The infill according to the present invention is much more advantageous than the known sheet metal due to the ease of installation, the greater lightness of the product and its versatility.
In fact, even in correspondence with cables and / or pipes, these can very simply be sealed, both thanks to the easy adaptation of the panels, which can be shaped using a simple knife (cutter), and thanks to the sealing product to be used for fixing the panels.
To enter eg. a pipe is made a round cut in the panel and then the opening is sealed with the sealing product.
The infill panels can have in their lower part a movable element, such as a tilting bearing, connected to the remaining vertical part of the infill itself. Said bearing is also made of an insulating material.
The bearing has the purpose of perfectly filling the space between the structure of the ship and the upper part of the cabin, resting on the roof of the same, even during its insertion phase, when the cabin is supplied prefabricated.
To better adapt to any existing irregularities on the roof of the cabin, the lower flap of! bearing can be completed with finishing fringes of the same material as the covering.
The panels for the B15 curtain walls are made of rock wool, of a certain thickness, so they are rigid, albeit easily shaped, while the panels for the beam cutters are made of glass fleece, thin and flexible.
The cushion is made of soft glass wool, the covering is in glass fiber cloth or in thin aluminum, the fringes are comb die-cut.
All the aforementioned advantages and others will appear evident from the description of the following figures, which are attached for illustrative and non-limiting purposes only, in which:

The holes 16, to lighten the reinforced beam 10, can be used for the passage of the pipes and / or cables 32, as illustrated in figure 3. Around the pipe and / or cable 32, the hole 16 must be duly plugged, with an infill B15 indicated with 33, as the holes 16 not occupied by the pipes or cables will be plugged.
As can be seen in Figures 2 and 3, the infill panels b15, indicated with 15, 20, 23, 24, according to the present invention, consist of a core 28 in rock wool, which are superficially coated with a fiber cloth. glass or with an aluminum foil 29, glued on the core 28.
At the time of installation, the sealings 30 are carried out, with an intumescent type material resistant to! fire, both at the attachment points of the infill 15, 20, 23, 24, 33, with the pipes, cables, and / or ventilation ducts, 32 and / or 25, and at the attachment points of the panels 15 , 20, 23, 24, on the different structures of the ship 10, 11, 12, 26, 27.
Secondo una realizzazione preferita viene impiegato per le sigillature 30 un prodotto noto con il nome commerciale di NAVYCROSS M. According to a preferred embodiment, a product known under the trade name of NAVYCROSS M is used for the seals 30.
By way of example, 30 mm thick panels were used, with a density of 130 Kg / dm <3>. Since the maximum height of these cavities to be filled is usually 500 ÷ 600 mm, the panels are in one piece in height.
Since the panels have an average length of 1 m, it will be necessary to make lateral joints. For this purpose, as shown in Figure 4, the ends of the two adjacent panels 50 and 51 are cut transversely, according to an inclined plane, which are joined with a seal 52, using the same material used for the seals 30. In the figure 5 shows in section a draft cutting panel which, where necessary, will be arranged at suitable intervals above the roof of the cabins in positions 23, 24, of figure 1.
The draft cutting panel 60 is welded to the upper structure 70 of the ship by means of the same incombustible product, already mentioned, packaged in cartridges and known by the trade name of NAVYCROSS M.
In the case of the beam cutters 60, the sealing 30 will take place only on the top, and possibly also on the sides. In fact, at the bottom, the seal is guaranteed by the presence of the lower bearing 64 connected in an inclinable way with the vertical part 62 of the draft cutting panel 60.
To improve adhesion to the underlying element, for example to the roof 22 of the cabin, the bearing 64 is provided on the lower edge with fringes 65. Similarly to the infill panels B15, the beam cutters 60 are covered with fiberglass cloth or aluminum sheets 29, both on the vertical part 62 and on the bearing 64. The fringes 65 are made of the same material as the covering 29, punched in a comb.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the vertical part 62 of the draft cutting panel 60 is made with a glass veil with a thickness of 3 mm and a weight of 200 g / m <2>; the bearing 64 is in glass wool with a density of 16 Kg / m <3> and a thickness of 25 mm; the covering 29 and the fringes 65 are in a glass fiber cloth weighing 200 g / m <2> or in aluminum sheets with a thickness of 0.05 mm.
The present invention includes all those detailed variants and modifications which may be obvious to a person skilled in the art, which do not go beyond the scope of the present invention, but are intended to be included in the scope of the following claims.
