La presente innovazione si riferisce al settore alimentare, in particolare quello della vendita di alimenti quali ad esempio, e tipicamente, verdure e legumi già cotti. Oltre ai tipi di alimenti sopra menzionati (legumi e verdure cotte), la confezione secondo l'innovazione potrà essere vantaggiosamente utilizzata per qualsiasi prodotto di gastronomia (ad esempio olive o altri prodotti sott'olio, salumi, formaggi ecc.), salse, prodotti di rosticceria, frutta e verdura di ogni tipo. Claims

CLAIMS 1. A package for food in general, comprising a plastic tray with an upper opening mouth delimited by an upper perimeter edge along which a perimetral rib jutting upwards evolves, and a lid in the same material articulated along a portion of said margin and able to close on said mouth to intercept it completely, said lid comprising means for engagement with said rib of said tray, the package being characterized in that said means for engaging said lid comprise a perimeter step, delimiting a central concavity on the internal face of the lid, and able to engage with the external profile of said rib of said tray, the packaging furthermore provides a sealing film welded on said rib so as to completely intercept said mouth.

2. Packaging according to claim 1, wherein said sealing film is sealed on the upper part of said rib.

3. Packaging according to claim 1 or 2, in which said rib is defined and rises by folding from a lip folded outwards along said upper perimeter edge of the tray.

4. Packaging according to claim 3, wherein said lid, externally to said step, defines a perimeter lip adapted to abut on, and to relate to, said lip of said tray.

Package according to any one of the preceding claims, in which said step engages with said snap-on rib thanks to a slightly interference dimensioning, or to a complementary shaping, so as to provide a stable coupling substantially of the snap type.

6. Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the height of said step, and therefore the depth of said concavity, substantially correspond to the height of said rib of said tray.

Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said tray has a substantially quadrilateral plan profile, said lid being foldable articulated along one side of said tray.

Packaging according to any one of the preceding claims, in which said foods are cooked vegetables or legumes.

9. A package for foods such as vegetables, legumes and the like substantially as described above and illustrated with reference to the attached drawings.
