Sono noti accessori per impianti elettrici - conosciuti con la denominazione di soppressori di sovratensioni - che vengono inseriti in una presa di corrente di un impianto elettrico (per lo pi? domestico o di uffici) per proteggere apparecchi ed utenze elettriche alimentate con la detta presa ed anche altre utenze connesse ad altre prese nella stessa linea di alimentazione.
