The present invention generally relates to the lighting apparatus sector and is directed in particular to a glazing bead element for retaining the diffuser of ceiling lights, wall lamps, etc., on the relative support frame.

Various embodiments of glazing bead for ceiling lights, wall lamps and the like are already known.

In any case, the main object of the present invention is to provide a glazing retainer hook in a single piece, obtained from steel sheet and elasticized thanks to its particular conformation, ie without resorting to added or additional springs.

Another object of the invention is to propose an elastic glazing fastener hook which is particularly simple to make, easy to use and capable of facilitating the locking and unlocking operations of a ceiling or wall lamp diffuser without the need for any tool.

These purposes are achieved with a glazing bead element consisting of a single piece of steel sheet and shaped to have, on one side, a fastening tab to be fixed to the mounting of a lighting fixture, on the opposite side, a hook head intended for to engage and hold the peripheral edge of a diffuser, which can be made of glass or other material, applicable to said frame and, between said tab and said hook, at least one fold capable of giving at the same time strength and elasticity to the glazing element .

The accompanying drawings illustrate an indicative and non-limiting example of construction and application of the glazing bead element according to the invention. In said drawings:

Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of the glazing bead element;

Fig. 2 shows a mounting for a ceiling light complete with glazing elements; e

Fig.3 shows, in section, a glazing bead element in place.

The glazing element proposed here is made up of a piece of sheared and folded sheet steel. More precisely, it has - Fig. 1 - at one end, a fastening tab 11, at the opposite end a hook head 12 and in the intermediate part at least an elasticization fold 13.

The tab 11 must be fixed with a rivet 14 or similar to the mount 15 of a lighting fixture such as a ceiling or wall lamp - see Fig. 2 - with the intermediate fold 13 which is next to the peripheral edge of the mount.

The hook head 12 serves to engage and hold -Fig.3- the glass or light diffuser 16 of the lighting fixture. The intermediate fold confers resistance and elasticity to the glazing bead element so that it can engage and support the glass or diffuser and is susceptible to bending when locking and unlocking the glass or diffuser by manually acting only on the hook head.

R I V E N D I C A Z I O N I 1.Glass holder element particularly for the glass or light diffuser applied to the mounting of ceiling lights, wall lamps and the like, characterized by the fact that it is formed by a single piece of sheared and bent steel sheet and by the fact that it has a part, an end tab (11) to be fastened to the mounting of a lighting fixture, on the opposite side, a hook head (12) intended to engage and retain a peripheral edge from the glass or diffuser of said lighting fixture and, in an intermediate zone between said tongue and said hook head, at least one fold (13) which gives strength and elasticity to the glazing bead element. 2. Glazing bead element according to claim 1, wherein said intermediate fold (13) is provided to be next to the peripheral edge of the lighting fixture mount and for a bending movement of the hook head towards and away from it relative to the peripheral edge glass or diffuser. All as substantially described above, illustrated and claimed for the specified purposes.
